Exactly what I needed
This product attached a cold shoe female to a cold shoe female by way of the two back to back male threads. It was exactly what I was looking for. They may be a touch too long, like a few millimeters but I'm handy enough with a grinder amd I'll trim them up if it bothers me that much bit hasn't so far.

Just what I wanted
They feel pretty solid and strong. No problems with the fit or finish. I wasn't 100% sure what to expect from the pictures, but I was relieved to find the build quality to be pretty decent.
