Purchased this for my new tripod which only had a standard ball head fitted.I wanted the panorama feature and the quality of this unit for the price looked very good.It was dispatched and delivered very quickly thanks to Amazon and the packaging ofthe unit is simple but adequate the big surprise was when I opened the box, the ball headcame in its own carry pouch with the instruction for use, it also comes with the 3/8'' to 1/4''thread reducer already instaled, so if your tripod thread is 3/8'' you will need to remove itas I did, the quick release plate was already instaled too this has the d link style screw to fixit to your camera tripod mounting holeThe controls on the ball head are pretty easy to work out the single knob at the bottom of theball head is to lock or release the panorama feature whereas the large and small knobs arefor the control of the main ball joint, some people have said they don't know why there are twocontrols, it's simple the small knob is the clutch and the big knob the brake, just undo the largecontrol knob until the ball joint is loose then adjust the small knob until you can move the ballhead but with enough resistance to support your camera lens set up then lock it with the largecontrol knob after that you will only need to use the large knob to unlock the ball head withoutyour camera flopping all over the place, simple, the quick release plate knob speaks for itself.The panning mechanism is nicely damped and feels very smooth and the ball head has twobubble levels fitted one for landscape and one for portrait orientation all in all I have found thisball head to be of excellent quality and great value for money.I would highly recommend this product to anyone

This is one of the best tripod mounts that i have come across. Apart from the very solid locking mechanism on the ball head, the overall build quality is first rate. As an experiment, i attached my pro video HC-X1 camcorder (2.2Kg) onto this head. It grips the head very securely (not recommended as a permamnent solution for a large camcorder). When attached to me full frame DSLR it feels very secure, and is very easy to unlock and repostition the head to any desired angle.

In the world of expensive brand names, this Ball Head proves that often you just pay for the name. Product quality is incredible and I didn't need to pay £300.00 for an equivalent brand name product. I don't even see this as a stop gap in any way. Just an excellent quality product that punches well above its weight and competes with brand name products that are 6 times the price. Just buy it, you won't be disappointed!

I bought this to go with my befree travel tripod, yes manfrotto do make some great gear but the tripod head that comes with this tripod was just not good enough, so after lots of googling I found this tripod head and boy was I not disappointed, well built, quick fluid movement, I have already recommended this to friends of mine, 5 star

Seemed ok actually. Re-ordered next model up which is better in many ways.

Bought this for my tripod which currently has a manfrotto style head. The Arca-Swiss quick release system is so much more versatile and easy to use. Excellent for when you need to take panoramas in the portrait aspect. It was a little stiff at first but after a few uses its perfect. Excellent value for the money.

gave this tripod head the stars as it is good strong reliable but was too big for my fold up travel tripod returned it to seller

Surprisingly robust and good quality at a very reasonable price. Supports my Fuji XT2 with 100-400mm + 1.4 TC on Manfrotto 190 tripod very well.
