I've seen a comment as to how pungent the smell is but I couldn't smell anything potent with my bag. If you sniff it then you may get a slight whiff but it seems tolerable. My cat is 2 years old and I didn't think would be interested. Her eyes widened with curiosity immediately and gave it a throw around but didn't really chew. The packet advises to incorporate into play and put back in the bag after 20 mins. I left one stick out and placed it near areas my cat frequents. A few days later she was tossing it again and trying to chew it but not very well. She couldnt pick it up long enough and doesnt really lay down and chew from the ground. I held the stick for her wgilst leaning it on her activity tunnel and she then started to scratch, grab and gnaw on it enthusiastically. She does so for a few minutes and is then uninterested. I'm fine with this level of interaction for my cat. Seems like an OK product if you know how to find a way for your cat to become engaged with it. In terms of whether it's cleaning her teeth is another matter. I've yet to inspect her teeth properly, but her teeth and gums look healthy.

3 out of our 4 cats like these however they lose interest before chewing them. They like to roll on then and throw them up in the air rather than chew them. Kitty 4 shows no interest at all.

My little girl wasn’t too fussed about using this to clean her teeth but likes to play with it! My boy actually bites in it which is great to see because I’ve been trying to figure out how to get their teeth clean without having to pin them down (they love their freedom lol). I think it’s nice that the brand has an option to refund if you cat ends up not liking the sticks.

Having read the reviews, I'm glad my cat didn't take to these, especially regarding the fact that some of the bark could come off which might not be good news for my cat or for me. In actual fact, my cat found them very difficult to pick up off the floor and lost interest after about 15 minutes of trying. The only solution would have been for me to pick it up and wait while he chewed on it!!! I think they are probably more suitable for dogs, and, the price is high for something I just had to bin. Will definitely not be buying these again. A total waste of money and, I imagine, totally overpriced.

My cat loves them

My cat shows practically zero interest in these sticks. I was hoping she would use them and keep her teeth clean but sadly that's not the case. In fact the dog showed more interest when he mistook one for a chew stick.I even tried spraying it with more cat nip, but sadly the only interaction my. cat has with it, is when she bats it out of her way when she walks past it & it's lying in her path.So far they have been a waste of time as shes chewed it for less than 30 seconds.Therefore no clean teeth or fresh breath from these sticks.

I first bought these as I was looking for an "easy" thing to help my cat take care of her teeth. I wasn't expecting much from it but here I am, reordering another stock! My cat loves it, whatever the scent is, it gets her all crazy like she's a kitten again. She rolls around, plays with it, it keeps her happy and healthy, wich is a win for her and for me. Sure the barks peels off with as the cat nibbles on it but my furry friend used all 5 of theses stick until they turn toothpick and never hurt herself nor got sick with it. Very natural material, nothing that a cat wouldn't find in the wild, might spread some bark bits on your floor but hey, small price for your baby's happiness.
