GREAT WAY TO FIX BROKEN FLANGE WHEN PIPING IS IN CONCRETE FLOOR
If you have a broken plastic toilet flange that is embedded in a concrete floor and connects to a 3 inch PVC pipe. ..this is the answer! Just cut off the old flange, insert this one (don't forget to fasten it to the concrete using some type of hardware). Yes, the opening will be a little smaller than the inside diameter of the 3 inch PVC, but still larger than the output hole of most toilets. Works just fine with my Kohler high rise toilet..These Kohlers are the best, having added three to my home and are usually under $200 on sale at Lowes.Be advised this is now an all plastic flange..not like the picture showing a metal flange. Not a problem as this pushes in and can be rotated for proper bolt positioning prior to final bolting of flange into concrete. In my case I used this to also compensate for a poorly installed flange that was below my finished tile surface. After cutting off old flange I greased up a 3 inch PVC coupling, centered it in hole and poured in some Rocktite flush with top of existing tile. Pulled out the greased coupling and installed this guy. AGAIN, YOU MUST FIRMLY BOLT THIS TO YOUR FLOOR (CONCRETE OR OTHER) BEFORE SETTING THE TOILET AS IT ISN'T GLUED TO THE DRAIN PIPE IN ANY WAY
