Limited 180gm blue colored vinyl LP pressing housed in a gatefold sleeve. It's been over 40 years since Boston's self-titled opus first hit the airwaves and turned the world on to a new kind of sonic experience. The masterful album was a full-blown once-in-a-lifetime event, in the right place at the right time as an alternative to the disco and nascent punk-rock movements of 1976. Spearheaded by MIT graduate and studio enthusiast Tom Scholz, Boston almost single-handedly created arena rock here. The album soars on the strength of reflective lyrics, contagious melodies, towering vocals, and one choice hook after another. With over 17 million copies sold, Boston generated such hits as "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," "Foreplay/Long Time," and "Smokin'," rock staples that are still in heavy rotation today.

Awesome album if you’re not a girly man.
Okay, I grew up with vinyl. Then I got CDs, then a family, then kids, then some more life, and gradually moved away from music. Then I came back.I listen to vinyl and digital. I love them both. But when I really want to dive deep, I go to vinyl. Sorry folks. A really good record on a really good system just sounds better. I don’t know why but it just does. And....It’s been such a long day time,I think I should be going,Time doesn’t wait for me...It keeps on goingSail on on a distance highwayI got to keep on chasing a dreamWell I’m taking my time...Sorry, I get carried away. This is a kickass album, especially in aqua blue. Life is good. Buy the album. You’ll be glad.

ONE OF MY BEST ALBUMS
I had the original album, But since I moved a few times it’s taken a hard beating so, I will NOT open this classic album, the only issue my original album had signatures when in I saw them years ago.So, In memory of Bradley and SibI will NOT OPEN this album...

More Dollars for Nostialgia, but worth every bit
I find myself spending good money to replace vinyl records that I sold or gave away years ago. I put them on my wish list, but the best vinyl has gotten expensive enough that most people can't afford to give them as gifts. Give yourself a gift and buy this record if you still have a decent turntable (and cartridge), and some way to listen to good music in more than 3-minute clips on you iPod. Don't get me wrong, the iPod is a wonderful thing. No more making up "best-of" or mix-tapes for the car, or bicycle rides, but there is something about sitting still for 20 or 40 minutes to listen to the whole side (or both sides) of a record as it was intended to be heard. This is a good, quiet, pressing of a classic album. I am happy to welcome Boston back into my small, but growing, record collection.

Amazing uses correct shipping container to protect vinyl jacket artwork
This vinyl album was shipped perfectly and arrived undamaged. To an audiophile, the outer sleeve of an album is extremely important. The 180g, blue vinyl is beautiful.

Timeless Classic
Boston's first two albums have never been surpassed and have stood the test of time. This remastered limited edition version reaffirms just how good a band they were, unfortunately, they never made enough records but the genius is evident throughout this recording. JUST ANOTHER BAND OUT OF BOSTON! I think not!!!

Great album poor quality control.
Great album and decent sound. I found some of the sounds a little muted and muddy. I don’t mind spending a little more money for 180g vinyl with the assumption I am getting a quality product. This one came with a pretty bad warp. This was a gift so I’m stuck with it. If I had purchased this myself I’d have sent it back.

2010 Friday Music (FRM 34188) Sony Music 180g Heavy Vinyl
This is a fairly good sounding record. The depth varies going from almost adequate to adequate on some tracks. The upper end detail is very good but perhaps a little too upfront. The tone is a little too bright for my taste. This remaster is slightly better sounding than the original vinyl and CD I have which both have a little less depth. The vinyl quality itself is good there are a couple of places with some small ticks but runs fairly quiet for the most part.
