If you are going to shine them through an amber lens, then get amber LED's. I put these (amber) into a subaru forester (2009) as a front side marker light. Easy to do, fit well, noticeably brighter than the halogen. I'll get back to you in 10000 miles with a review

These LED license plate bulbs are much better than the bulbs that came from the factory in our KIA Forte, imho. For one, they're LED, while the originals were not, and they're safer to handle, as well, as the original bulbs were enclosed fully in glass, a little shorter, and hard to get a grip on for removal. Once in place, these LED bulbs provided a very nice and bright white light, which lights up the license plate area very well.I'm definitely pleased and satisfied with this set of LED license plate bulbs.

the original lights on my spark were rather dim compared to these. they fit right in and made it much brighter in my car both the front and back. you may need to get the pry tool if you have large fingers such as myself to get the old bulb out but not complicated or difficult at all. pretty much anyone can and should be able to replace them on their own in about 10 minutes or so.
