Sharp with industry leading S35VN steel.
Great S35VN steel, grippy G10 scales, great jumping on fat back of blade for my fat thumb when I need to choke up on the bland to apply precise power, nice choil for my trigger finger with a bit of protection to keep it from the sharps, extremely light, different/new style of sheath with convertible top and a semi sideways entry exit path and the knife is Visually pleasing to the eye with natural lines. My hands are large and my palm span exceeds the designed fit of the handle but it is still very comfortable to use.Blade is so sharp I suspect you could shave a cat bald without waking it up.Not gonna try but I am sure it could be done.Highly recommend this knife.

I Just Completed the “ Buck Hat Trick “!! ( please read on )
I almost went with the 539RWS - but this little guy here just seems a little bit better ( for an extra $20 it’s worth it I tell you - ).I really don’t know what the difference is but the 539 RWS is rated S30V — and the 539ODS is rated S35VN .Be careful !! This guy bites !Super sharp out of box !!Nice black leather sheath comes with ( will only fit this knife if that means anything to you ).Love the handle too !!Not much to not like .I have a very nice knife collection. This could be my new everyday carry .What I do like most is the beauty of this little dude .I’m not going to beat the heck out of it though . ( I have other knives for that ).So I got the “ Buck Hat Trick “; The Buck 124 for hunting and brutal jobs , My Buck 110 Folder and now this Buck 539 .I mentioned that collect all types and brands of knives .If I got rid of all of them - these would be the three I would keep .Hand them down to my son - hopefully to his son etc ., etc ..

Sharp knife that feels great in the hand.
I’m very particular about blade sharpness and this knife arrived very sharp. Love the S35VN steel. Took it hunting a couple times and cleaned a few animals with it. It holds its edge very well. I target smaller game like goats and sheep and I find this knife great for cleaning and precise cutting.

Small
Just got it. Saw the package and my first thought was "it looks small". Took it out and it is tiny. The actual blade/edge is three and a half inches, the rest of the advertised four and a quarter inch blade is used as part of the handle. Even so the handle is still too small, no room for a pinky. Needless to say it's going right back. Build is good. Sharp. Good looking knife. If your hands are medium to small I believe you would like it. Would be perfect for youth or women.

Great knife with a premium steel
Really like the knife. Well made. Have a Buck knife I have hunted with and used for over 45 years. Don't see a bit of change in quality from that knife to this one! A rare thing these days.

The perfect knife
S35VN micarta handle. Buck heat treatment. What else to say! A bit smaller than I thought but still perfect for small game, waterfowl, fish and even for deer.
