Mighty Mendit

This product really works!!! I didn't think it would work. I used it to put new handles on a bag I could not through away. The handles are very secure and I have washed it two times already. The bag and the handles are still in tack.

I don't know how it works- 1 star, 2, 3 or more ???? When I opened the box it had leaked, evidently the top hadn't been screwed on properly. And when I tried to exchange it, this was the message I got on the Amazon return screen:" For safety reasons, items that are classified as hazardous materials or use flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned to Amazon.com. Customers should dispose of hazardous materials according to Local, State and Federal regulations. Customers should contact their local government or local waste company for directions on how to dispose of Household Hazardous Waste. "What a let down because if I had bought it at a brick & mortar retail store, exchange would have been no problem. I guess I'll have to eat this selection.At least I wasn't out of pocket since this was part of a purchase using a gift certificate, but when buying something like this, Caveat Emptor- ( Buyer beware )

Read an article somewhere about using it for embriodered patches on leather. Most people say the only successful way is to sew them. I ordered several products including MM. I found that out of all the products I used MM held the best. I have been wearing my leather vest every day for about 3 weeks under another coat and so far, all the patches that i used MM on have held just fine. I took extra precaution when attaching them by keeping pressure on the patches (a stack of books) for about 24 hours before attempting to wear the vest. I have been intentionally hard on the vest since I am breaking it in (new leather) and "testing" how well the patches hold. Time will tell but as of this writing I am pleased with the results. The top does get "gunked up" like other reviews mention and takes some pressure to use but not a huge deal. I opened the bottle last night after it sat around for a couple weeks to repair a belt loop on some jeans and after clearing the top, it worked fine. Loop seems to be holding so far as well.

I purchased this product before at other store and I am happy with the strength of this glue to mend fabrics. The only concern I have with this product is its PE container. It is weak and cannot handle the strong solvent (acetone ?) in it and tend to crack allowing the content to ooze out inside the packaging. Mendit readily refunded my money back and I get to keep the bad one too. I wish Mendit improve their container in the future. I am happy with the customer service.

I absolutely loved this glue when it came out. I mostly used it in sewing. It was AWESOME for gluing on patches! I have a service dog and it was very difficult to sew patches onto the thick vest fabric, I had tried using iron-on but they never held. Not to mention Mighty Mendit dried fairy quickly unlike other fabric glues that take 24-48hrs and have to be clamped together! I really don't understand why it's been discontinued.. my only warning is that when I ordered a new bottle it had leaked a small amount in the box, but the stuff in the bottle was still usable. I would highly suggest that you read the reviews of each distributor of the Mighty Mendit before you order it. The product isn't produced anymore so the bottles have been stored for a while. Some sellers seem to sell bottles that have completely leaked out or become too thick to use! That being said, I was happy with the Mighty Mendit that I ordered from this merchant.

I have used this glue on so many things I can't even tell you. I had a ring with a large plastic "flower" that completely came off of the ring base, and I just kept adding layers of this glue as it dried until the pieces adhered to each other, and I wear it all the time without incident. Amazing. I had some gowns that had facings that kept "flopping" out, so I added a dab to each corner of the facings, and the job was done!! They are washed all the time, and have never come undone. I have glued clothes, shoes, household items and just about anything you can think of. the important thing is to think of this glue first before trying other glues. I even purchased an extra one to have in case they quit making this stuff!! I can't vouch for the glue which is included to add baubles to clothes, as I haven't used it, and, in fact, I couldn't get it out of the container because the bottle is too unforgiving to push it out. But I could care less about that one--I only care about the larger bottle.

I bought this product to repair a rip in my comforter and although it did work, getting started with puncturing an opening in the tip was a disaster! Their suggestion was to use a paperclip--and I did--but it would not puncture! I tried a couple of them and eventually gave up and just used a scissors to cut off the tip.I was then disappointed about the warning regarding not putting the repaired item in the dryer because it could the glue to become hard or something like that. To me, if this is supposed to be an alternative to sewing needles and threads, then I shouldn't have to worry about my laundry.The cap never fitted back securely after I used the scissors and with my disappointment about laundry, I ended up tossing the product.

I always use this item all the time ! It's prefect for gluing my shoes and putting flowers on my shoes ! It's great for setting my rinestones on my shirts, shoes or anything else ! I love this, and wish I could buy it again, but they know longer have this item ! I still have an old one I bought and it's still doing good ! But would love to be able to buy a new one ! ❤️❤️❤️🥰
