Driving free
It is nice to have the phone on the stand instead of in my lap. I use it more than I thought I would.

Mount seems secure
I have mixed feelings about this Diaclara phone mount. I bought it for my GF's Hyundai Tucson as I have another brand's car mount in my car. I'm pretty sure that the Diaclara has mounted more securely and will hold up to road bumps quite well without flying off the vent. The one I use has the rubber stopper feet that you forcefully jam onto your vents. That mostly works, but I have sufferws multiple instances of the mount coming off while driving. That sucks, especially when you can't pull over easily and correct the issue.I can't imagine that being the case with the Diaclara mount. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to angle the hooks just right, but I managed to set it to my satisfaction and screwed it in tight. The mount has no play at all....it's fits tightly into the vent. Unlike others, I find the Diaclara mount can be adjusted once mounted. It may not be an easy adjustment, but the ball joint will rotate slightly under pressure. But if you're having trouble, I suggest loosening the screw mechanism a touch and reorienting the mount before tightening it again. My biggest gripe with the Diaclara is that unlike my own car mount, I actually have to physically close the mounts bracket onto the phone to secure it. My mount just automatically snaps shut to the dimensions of my phone when I place it into the mount. I also don't much care for the bracket release on the Diaclara mount---a small button located on the back of it. Mine has it located in plain view and is ergonomically more user friendly as I can release the phone while holding it in one smooth motion. But those are quibbles based on my own prior experience with phone mounts. The Diaclara is a fine mount. After years of magnetic mounts, beanbag dash mounts and suction mounts...etc. etc... I have found that the vent mounts work best for me. Had I gotten a Diaclara mount years ago prior to buying the vent mount I use now, I would have thought the Diaclara the best mount ever. That said, I may find myself buying one for my own vehicle anyway.. because I do value the secure feeling of the mount staying put in the vent while driving. I'll have to see how the Diaclara holds up in my GF's car before deciding, but I can totally see getting one for myself.

Car phone holder not that great for Subaru Outback; installation on passenger vent only real option
I got this phone holder because Subaru can't get it together on their implementation of CarPlay with Google Maps. It shows my car out in a field somewhere while the map is constantly trying to update directions. If I disable Subaru CarPlay and just look at my phone, no problem with Google Maps. Ridiculous, but I digress. The phone holder is probably nicely designed for some vehicles, particularly those that don't have such tight cabin space as a Subaru Outback, where the only real option for install is on the passenger left air vent. Otherwise, installation on left or right driver vents, you either (1) have to run your charge cable over or under the steering wheel (not safe) or (2) you can't see the phone screen. It's not optimum to have the phone so far away on the passenger vent, especially since there is limited tilt to the left on the phone holder for viewing the screen. The holder also blocks much of the vent, which isn't cool, no pun intended. I can use it in a pinch when Subaru CarPlay does its nasty trick with Google Maps, but I have another much smaller vent-type holder that will be easier to carry in the car, so maybe not.Too bad, because the holder is secure on the vent when installed, the release and locking mechanism to hold the phone is smooth, and I appreciate the cable slot in the bottom part of the holder. I'll find someone who has a different vehicle to gift it to.P.S. Don't try to tilt the holder/phone when installed on the vent, as you'll break a vent vane. No, I didn't do that! Make the adjustment before attaching the holder to the vent.

Firm and does not shake
This phone holder mount works great on any vent. I have vertical vents, but this phone holder fit in nicely and there were no issues with the installation. I also found that the double metal hook really helps keep the phone holder steady, even over uneven roads, and it doesn't feel like it's too much pressure against the vent.Since the phone holder is on a ball joint, it's easy to move around, and the grips work nicely to keep the phone in place. It's also deep enough that it can hold my phone with a case and phone grip in the back. Another aspect I liked was that it seemed to be out far enough that it doesn't prevent the vent from getting air out. I also appreciated that there were slots in the back for the vent blade to go into, and the back of the holder has a type of soft material that also provides grip. Overall, I think it's solid and firm, especially due to all the different aspects to keep it from moving around.

Holds well!
Trying to find a phone mount that isn't adhesive based and that ACTUALLY holds a phone is a huge challenge. This one has a dial on the back that adjusts a hooked arm so that it holds onto the air vent. Genius. And the arms that hold the phone are easy to adjust but still very secure feeling. I had to do hard brake yesterday when someone did a traffic no-no and everything stayed in place. The piece feels sturdy and while I don't think these things are especially attractive, this one isn't the ugliest! Overall pretty happy that I got it.

Versatile phone holder but beware the wobble!
This phone holder from Diaclara is the perfect solution if you really have nowhere to put your phone in the car. Yes, I know, we really shouldn't be operating a device like that in the car but for those of us who use the phone for music or navigation, having a fixed mount for the phone that places it in clear view is going to be much safer and easier than fumbling around for it in the console. The holder is very easy to set up and even easier to use. The instructions are quite clear and you'll have the mount in place in no time. You will want to make sure your vent is compatible as there are some (round ones for example) that this mount simply will not work with. Note that depending on the size of your phone and where you want to put it, some of your dashboard buttons or screen may be obscured. As this thing can grab onto any horizontal vent rail though, you should be able to find a position that minimizes the obfuscation. We're all already distracted enough out there: let's not add to it.Getting your phone in and out couldn't be easier. Squeeze the sides to engage the mount, push button on the back to release. I like what they did with the bottom phone rest as it allows your phone to be plugged in while secured in the mount. That's a great feature! The one gripe I have with this thing--and it's not really even a fault of the product or the manufacturer--is that my phone, Google Pixel 6 Pro, tends to wobble a little bit on the highway. I can't criticize the manufacturer for this as it could very well just be my car that's causing this. And furthermore, it shouldn't matter anyway because it's not like I'm sitting there staring at it while I'm driving: I most certainly am not! I think you're going to find that unless you literally weld your phone to the dashboard, it's going to have a little movement while driving. Anytime you extend something and then start moving, you can expect something like this to happen. Again I don't fault the product or the manufacturer. I'm not exactly a physics major but I suspect this behavior is normal. And really not a big deal either: the mount does what it's supposed to do and I wouldn't say that the movement is excessive either.Overall, Diaclara has done quite well with this phone holder. It looks great, functions well, and does exactly what it advertises with lots of flexibility and adjustability to suit anyone's needs. And all for the reasonable price of $20 CDN at the time of this review? Fantastic! 5/5 and I will very likely get one for my fiancé.

Bonito y eficaz
The media could not be loaded.
