A very expensive treat
These smell disgusting, but then we aren’t dogs. (You would really not want to be licked by a dog who’d just eaten one.)Pending review by our daughter’s cavapoo Hogan, who we look after once a week, we offered a few bits to our cats, but only one out of three cats was interested. We normally give Hogan cheap tough chew sticks, which last him a long time. These won’t touch the sides - he will definitely be in hoover mode. One at a time would be enough for a large dog, so half would be enough for him. As they’re so crumbly, they are very easy to cut, but will crumble to nothing as soon as you cut them (or as soon as the dog gets hold of it). They are less like chew sticks than dehydrated sausages – the casing is very dry, which could catch in a dog’s throat. On the upside, it’s a British product, with all natural ingredients. The packet recommends no more than a week for consumption after opening, and keeping the product refrigerated in between times. The sealer on the packet is effective, which is a good thing – you wouldn’t want this smell to contaminate other foods in the fridge. (But why do you need to keep dehydrated pet food in the fridge anyhow?)The cost pro rata is over £56 per kilo. Think about this – it’s more expensive than premium fillet steak! Its only real advantage over fresh meat is that you can store this for up to a year before it’s opened. However, unless your dog’s called Tricki Woo you could feed him much better for much less money.

A very healthy treat for your dog.Good for teeth, bones and joints.
100% air-dried venison which is a very low fat meat.Rich in protein, omega 3 oils, selenium, iron and zinc and low in cholesterol. Locally sourced meat in Scotland with no additives, the perfect healthy treat or snack for our spoiled and much lived pets. There is nothing to dislike with these, they come in a pack of six and you get four packs. They need to be kept in the fridge once opened but unopened have a very long shelf life 01/10/16 is the date on mine and they certainly wont be around that long. They have a very strong smell which my oldest dog was not to sure of at first he just stood and looked at it but when he saw the others getting stuck in he did to and enjoyed it, they all did. They are shaped like a long thick stick or sausage and are reasonably chewy it took the old boy a couple of minutes to eat his but the others were a bit faster at devouring theirs they certainly didn`t gulp them down in one which is good at that price you do want them to enjoy the taste. They are expensive but worth it as they only contain meat, no junk, no additives just all round goodness.

Dog approved!
Our dog absolutely loves these. I am always a little bit wary of introducing new treats into his diet as he is getting on a bit and they do tend to upset his digestion but these were absolutely fine. Judging by his reaction they are very much to his taste as well, once the packet was opened and he tried the first one, he took to sitting in the utility room gazing wistfully at the shelf where the rest of the packet was sitting.I note other reviewers have noted that the treats have a strong smell, but if we're honest, that is a characteristic that attracts dogs as evidenced by ours staring at the packet drooling. Yes, they do smell like dog treats and that might be a bit "fragrant" but they're certainly no less whiffy than the dried liver I sometimes feed him!

Quality meat treat for pampered pooches
Really high quality chew treat. These are a bit bigger than I expected (about the size of a dentastix chew)and have quite a hard "skin" to them (not rock hard, but I expected them to be bendy, but they aren't). They smell really meaty are are 100% venison. There are six in a pack so not cheap, but they got the thumbs up from my three hounds. One of my dogs has quite a sensitive digestion, but coped with these without any adverse effects, so I can't think of any downside at all to these treats except price. My big dog (45 kg) did a disappearing trick with the treat that took seconds - my two medium sized dogs took a bit longer, but not much, so I think these will be a special treat rather than an everyday occurrence. One for the doggy christmas list!

Well the test dog loved it!BThese are made from 100% air dried British Venison. The treats are claim to be a high quality, health conscious product, to form an essentially a healthy snack - something which does appeal. They are also claimed to be a rich source of protein, zinc, iron and selenium, omega 3 qualities and to be low in cholesterol and fat. They do smell meaty. The dof was a little doubtful at first but once started the first one disappeared at an amazing rate. They were put away for the night and first thing the next morning, the dog was after them, demanding more... I think that was a definite waggy tale!If you love your pet, then you will be his or her hero!

very tasty, disappear very quickly
We have a greyhound who is generally disinterested in food, and only mildly interested in most treats. She has shown more interest in these venison sticks that most, and eats them immediately. The nutritional claims are impressive, and the chews haven't upset her stomach at all (anything in the red meat to marrow bone jelly spectrum can upset her tum).I have deducted a star as they only last for a second or two, so not much chewing goes on. With a chew I'd really be looking to have her occupied for at least a few minutes. Per chewing second these work out to be eye-wateringly expensive.

Brilliant Chew Sticks
These are perfect chew sticks, and at the price, would be something I would buy as a real one off treat for our dogs.As soon as you open the very smart packaging, you can tell these are a premium product, they look and smell like meat, and they are thick and meaty. They do not smell like some of the cheaper ones. The dogs adore these, and munch them down within a very short space of time, and then come at me asking for more!A wonderful treat, and one that I am happy to give my dogs.
