Cappuccino with Colossians (Coffee Cup Bible Studies)

I really like the Coffee Cup series and the Colossians study is great. Our group took about an hour to review each weeks work. We followed a format where we each talked about what impacted us for the week of 'homework'. Most of us admitted we did the work in two or three nights instead of disciplining ourselves to do the work daily. I wrote down a number of 'dont forget' sentances in my book.I have done Ruth and Philippians and preferred those to this one. It may just be where I'm at in my life however others in my group agreed. The Colossians study is maybe weighted slightly heavier in scripture review and theology and lighter in personal reflection and growth (which I find generates more discussion). If you know that in advance, as a leader you could prepare more discussion questions to generate good 'what do you think...' topics! To others, that will be appealing.Regardless, this is still well worth the time invested. And Praise God for great Bible study authors. Keep up the good work Dr. Sandra Glahn, your depth of research shows in your studies.

Did this as small-group study with some gal pals. Everything except pen/pencil is included in the book so it's easy to carry along for when there's a bit of down time. Glahn's writing style is personable, like talking with a (well-researched!) friend.

This is the fourth book in the Coffee Cup series that our Women's Bible study group has done, and everyone has been very pleased. It provides opportunities for learning the Word, as well as reflective questions to think about.

Loved the format and the depth, even though a short study. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to dig into God's word but not spend hours learning!

The studies may be great, but what good are they if the print quality is so poor they can't be read. And the covers are different than advertised. Out of the set of 12, 7 are being returned. I've found another vendor and hopefully they exercise far better quality control. As for continuing my prime membership, I don't know. What good is convenience when you have to keep returning items or cancelling when orders don't arrive.Pretty disappointed as this was for a Bible class. And couldn't upload a photo.

Great way to study Colossians! Always love the Coffee Cup Bible series. Did this with a Women's Bible Book Club

Some theological issues. Though the thought of having the Scripture written out is nice, paging back and forth was annoying. Some food historical content, which helped the study group.

Our group of 12 adults is enjoying studying the book. Have used this series before and find it very helpful.

I chose this study to compliment the current sermon series at church and found it insightful, easy to follow, and personally challenging. Love that all the scriptures are included. Easy to keep up with and yet not lacking in terms of content. Great study, ready to start another one.
