Product was well made. Found a YouTube video on how to install that was very good. Don’t remember the link but a google search should pull it up. Installed the first time and the auger was very difficult to turn. Removed and compared to the old part. Old part was about 1/8 of an inch shorter. This resulted in the flats being closer to the plastic than on the new part. Did some search on Amazon for a different part that might work and came across a comment that said remove the metal washers from the ice crusher assembly. This did the trick. Auger moves freely and crushed or cubed dispensing works great.

It was the right part to fix our ice maker

This item was a little longer than the OEM. Taking the ice bucket apart was very difficult and putting the chopping things back on the end was confusing. (take pictures before you take it apart) The chopping things ended up being a bit loose because of the added length, but once it was installed, it seems to be working all right.

It was necessary to ad shims to the end of the shaft so that the auger would tighten and hold fast.Bob

Works but needed to be modified for my fridge. I guess that since this auger fits many different models some are more tolerant than others. After I pulled it apart I noticed a gap that was about 1/4” different than the one on the original that I was replacing. There are 2 flat sides where the teeth slide onto the end of the auger and they needed to be about 1/4 longer because when I put it back together the auger would barely spin. I took it back apart and filed down each side about 1/4 inch more so the teeth could slide down further. It worked perfectly and I’ll include a picture of the file that I used. It was only a small inconvenience and it took about 10 minutes to file it down.

This product I like it met oem. Somewhat easy to install.
