I have used this for both of my kids and bought it twice. It’s cheap decently durable for the price especially if you keep it out of reach of kids. (Eventually both started to get a slight whirring sound but it’s just very quiet white noise like a ceiling fan. The one that was assaulted repeatedly by a 2yr old had it worse but its still functioning)To encourage sleeping in new places I made sure to turn on this light every night in thier room. (I basically never turn it off. I’m lazy and it runs 24/7 for months.) When we travel I’ll carefully pack it up (the star pattern can get crushed without the cover. The cover never stays on, it’s just a bowl with no real attachment to the light. We don’t bother with it) At night in a new place I’ll turn it on. As long as the room is dark, as far as the kids concerned, the room is the same. They see the same lights rotating in the same way and it’s as comforting as a security blanket. They don’t focus on the wierd shapes or shadows just the rotating stars. It’s bright enough to change a diaper at night. In a hotel room you can change the stars to red and go to sleep with the kids still in the room no issue. Highly recommend

I purchased this for my 4 year old son who has recently been learning about the Solar System. These are decently bright. Placed in the middle of a regular room, shapes are crisp. In a master bedroom, shapes start to get a little blurry and in a high ceiling 2 story house its pretty blurry on the highest ceiling but it is bright enough to get all the way up there. It has 3 options: A- has white, B- has all the color, C- Rotates. It comes with a pin wire with USB to keep it plugged in but you can also use batteries. I just wish it had an easier on and off button - you have to go through all the colors of B to turn it off if you are using it with batteries.

Genuinely I'm thankful for a product like this existing! It's bright,sturdy, and self explanatory to use. For a couple months now I've been struggling to keep my son sleep in his room every night because he still has a tendency to wake up in the middle of the night or he refuses to sleep. His sleeping habit was so bad that I had to use an old phone and have a video from "simple things" or "ms.racheal" to get him to sleep! Not anymore! Ever since i started leaving his nightlight on in the room we've both been able to sleep peacefully. When he wakes up in the middle of the night he states at the ceiling and watches the stars rotating across the sky. Honestly if you're an adult who struggles to sleep I'd also buy the nightlight for yourself as silly as it sounds and play in the background sounds of being in the woods. I genuinely feel like this purchase is worth every penny and once again I'm thankful for it.If you have second thoughts on buying it I hope this comment gives you the clarity that you need. Trust me I've tried other products from Amazon that cost more and none of them even come close to this little gadget here ❤️👏🏾

The media could not be loaded.  Pros:-Nice variety of colors, including the red I was specifically looking for.-The product is made fairly well for being so cheap, and it hasn't been destroyed yet, though there has been a very stringent "adults only" rule in place regarding pressing buttons.Cons:-Does NOT come with a wall adapter; the description does say it's a USB connector, but doesn't specify no wall adapter is provided, though it shows pictures of a wall adapter in the product images. It also doesn't give you much information in the way of electricity needed, so that you can figure out the appropriate amperage / voltage to buy an adapter.-Other reviewers say it chews through batteries; I haven't tried yet.-It does feel flimsy, like a fall will be the end of it. One way to know, but it hasn't yet had the misfortune. -with the short wire, it's hard to center it in a room for best projection, so it can look a little like there's a black hole gobbling stars... up to you whether that's a bug or a feature.-The buttons are confusing at first, and there *is* an off mode. You have to press "B" on my version until the colors go dark, and the "A" button has to be in the correct position too... don't recall which setting, but it is possible to turn it off without unplugging.Bottom line? I'm ok with having bought it, but i wouldn't hesitate to try something else.

My young kids are used to having some type of nightlight during the night. I purchased this for when they spend the night away from home. It's small enough that I can pack it in the luggage. It can run on batteries or be plugged in via a USB cord. I chose to not put batteries in it & just use the cord. In order to do so, you have to plug it into a USB port or buy an adapter to plug it into an outlet. It does what it's supposed to, but it will not project unless you take the dome off of the top. It sometimes doesn't want to turn off when I push the power button, but I just unplug it if it chooses to not turn off.

My sons absolutely loves this light. Helps him sleep through the night. Highly recommend

The functions for changing colors / lights are complicated. There is no on/off button and you have to switch through all the options to get it to shut off, which is really distracting for the kids before bed. It’s way too bright to be a nightlight and there’s no dim function. The battery life only lasts a few days which is very costly for batteries.It’s also poorly made and really easy to break if the kids touch it.I wouldn’t recommend this product.

Overall, it's an average product. The color combinations are good, it's been a few months and it is still working, my daughter likes it. Lights are not bright enough but when the room is fully dark, the brightness and colors are decent enough. It won't cover the full ceiling unless you keep it in the middle of the room. The higher you keep it, the brighter the lights on the ceiling. Works on batteries and cable so that's good. Also has a rotating function. Doesn't have a remote though which makes it harder to change functions. But So far we like it. It's durable. Fell off a couple of times but still works. If you are looking for very bright universal light that covers the whole room uniformly, this is not good. The area closest to the night light has the brightest reflection, the area farther has faded light.

I bought them as a gift for my niece and nephew. They loved it so much that my other nephew asked to have one too. Puts them to sleep really well as the stars keep moving.
