I used this to fix my boat cover. I worked awesome. It saved me $1000. I bought a second one because when you’re making a lot of buttons it’s a pain to keep switching the die out from punch to anvil. Other thank that it’s awesome.

Bought this after finding that a previously purchased inexpensive kit was not usable. Works very well, only caveat is that the punch for making the holes in the fabric for installation of the snaps doesn't cut very well, but overall it does function, one just has to poke out the material disk with a pointed implement after punching.

This snap kit worked like a charm. Had add snaps to our boat cover and bimini top. Easy to use and good value.

The media could not be loaded. On my first try I installed some snaps they seemed fine but they wouldnt snap and hold well. The tool has to be clamped, let it open, turn a quater, clamp again, turn a quarter, repeat, until the center pin is flat. The snaps are big but thinner metal but if you install them right they hold great!

The snap pliers are great! Very easy to you, lightweight, but yet sturdy. The pliers came with snaps. However, I used my heavy duty snaps, and the pliers worked great. The shipping was next day, and the price was perfect for my budget.

I have not used this yet , but looks like it will be a nice piece of kit for adding a new snap or repairs. The instructions could be a bit better done , it is small and a bit rough to interpret. I have had a similar setup in the past so am familiar with the concept of operation. However. If you have never used anything like this before, look for a YouTube video and do a practice one before using on your project, it will save you possible aggravation, lol. Now I only gave it four stars to maybe grab some attention of the manufacturer, the whole kit is nice , rugged tool, nicely organized plastic box of snaps, etc. but it comes in a cardboard box that isn’t all that rugged. I’d like to see the whole kit in a clear ,plastic box that I can keep all the parts in permanently. Lots of similar items are coming that way now, and it would be a nice addition to the package. I forgot one thing, and this is directed toward supplier mostly. This kit comes with a set of "knit" gloves. I've gotten these with other kits as well and though basic, and not really needed for the work at hand, I love these things ! To the buyer, try these under your winter gloves, you'll be amazed how these "cheap" little gloves will make your hands twice as warm. I wear a similar type under simple leather drivers most of the winter. To the manufacturer , make these a whisker larger, or offer sizes, coat the palm and fingers with the non shiny type nitrile (think Grease Monkey) and sell them. Its the short , non-existent cuff that to me is the gold. All the other knit coated gloves on the market have an unnecessary (for what they are mostly used for) 3" long cuff that is just annoying ! That cuff , most of the time just gets rolled up anyway. Think of the material savings. I you run with this idea, I want lifetime supply !

This is the second Snap Fastener tool I've acquired. This tool is very similar to my first tool, as both are based on a Vice-Grip style pliers mechanism. However, this tool is better made than my other tool, the difference is especially noticeable in the welds that hold the die holders in place. The alignment is also better on this tool, which makes it easier to use.This tool makes installing snap fasteners fast and simple. The tool comes with three dies, each has a particular purpose. The process begins with the Punch Die, which allows you to quickly punch the perfect size hole for the snap fasteners. The second step depends on the type of snap you are installing, there are specific dies for the male and female snaps. Select the proper die for your fastener, push the stud through the fabric, place the backer over the pin and compress the button using the tool. That is all it takes. Using this tool, it only takes a minute or two to attach high-quality snap buttons to your fabric.I found this tool works well. I was able to replace the snaps on a leather welding jacket who's snaps had worn out in a matter of minutes. I then moved on to adding snaps to a canvas storage tarp. The process was fast and simple.The tool comes in a kit with everything you need including some snap buttons and even some snap screws, which I found handy for the canvas cover project I was working on. The included fasteners come pre-sorted in a small plastic storage case, a nice extra that makes selecting the proper fastener quick and easy.I really like how fast and easy these snaps fasteners are to install, they take a fraction of the time and effort it takes to install buttons, zippers or Velcro.Bottom line: This snap rivet tool works well. The pliers are of good quality, the dies fit and function well, as do the supplied snap fasteners. I found this to be a good starter kit for installing snap fasteners.

It is difficult to use, tried a so many times, and each time the snap could not be fixed on the canvas. Also it is cheaply made and too expensive.

Easy to replace or install snaps on clothing / jackets etc.I needed to replace 1 snap on winter jacket it was so easy I replaced all 4 snaps in a few minutes. Beats the old hammer and pin install that was a pain to do. Worth the buy if you make repairs yourself.
