Worth Every Penny
This has really been an absolute life changer. I fractured my ankle and was non weight bearing for 7 weeks I was using crutches for the 1st few days and finding it uncomfortable and difficult to get around but the scooter really turned it around. It was much easier to get around the house and go outside. It was very stable and good quality. I wouldn’t say it’s heavy but it’s not light either if it was light it wouldn’t be as stable. You will probably need some help to assemble if you are non weight bearing as you do need to get under it to adjust the knee rest. Really worth it if you aren’t good with crutches and still want to do things around the house. The rubber wheels can leave little scuff marks on tiles and wood floors but I found as I’m getting around I can wipe them up with my good leg if I have socks on they come up easily!

A must have if non-weight bearing
Possibly the best £130 I’ve ever spent. I was 6 weeks non-weight bearing after an ankle fusion, and this scooter saved me. Used it from day 1 and it gave me the independence and freedom that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. Yes, it has some quirks, but the benefits far outweigh the little niggles. If you have hard floors, particularly light coloured, the tyres will leave black marks (especially if they get wet, like in a bathroom), but they’re very easy to clean and I’ve had no lasting damage to any of my floors (tile, wood or carpet). It doesn’t handle lumps and bumps very well. But as long as you’re aware of your surroundings it’s not an issue.I was able to potter around the house, no problem at all and with a bit of manoeuvring managed to cook, clean and work comfortably. I would suggest reading some more of the reviews for hints and tips (such as the pin to stop the handlebar and front wheels from spinning around), but from my point of view, I would 100% recommend it. I rarely used my crutches while non weight bearing, and for that reason alone this was worth it. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time...if ever!

Brilliant! An absolute must buy for non-weightbearing!
I had an ankle operation last year and I had 6 weeks of non weightbearing. Hopping using a walking frame was horrendous and exhausting. Unfortunately I've have had a second ankle operation this week and had been advised to buy a knee scooter. It is amazing. I have only used it for one day and I have already got my moneys worth. It is a totally different experience non weightbearing with this. It is easy to use, comfortable and very manoeuvrable. It is very stable and I am not worried about it tipping over. It won't happen! I can get about the house quickly and easily without much effort. Whoever invented this is a genius! I would recommend to anyone who has to non-weightbear to buy this. It is the best purchase I have ever bought

Without it I wouldn’t be able to go anywhere
I didn’t like the solid tyres not easy to change levels but other than that it’s a great machine lightweight and a nice padded knee rest

Freedom at last
Knee Rover is amazing. I’ve owned it for one week following a fractured ankle requiring surgery and therefore non weight bearing. I’ve practically ditched my crutches. I can zip around the house, office and have also been out to Shopping Malls and Stores. Without it I would be housebound It’s very stable and even the basket is so useful to the extent I can make my own drinks in thermos cups and transport them with me. Knee Rover is also used as a leg rest during the day when I’m in the office as it tucks perfectly under my desk. Also love the sheepskin cover.

Aggravated Knee
This is clearly great for most people from the good reviews but unfortunately, I seem to have caused further knee problems with this. I'm sure for an ankle problem it will be great but I have severe knee arthritis which has flared up badly in one knee and I have been struggling to walk anywhere without pain. This seemed to be the ideal answer to get around the house. It arrived today and I couldn't wait to try it out. The instructions say to put the injured limb on the knee pad, which I did, and I then scooted along with the other leg. However, when I picked my leg up off the floor to scoot, all of my weight then transferred onto my painful knee which was then 10 times worse than before I started. I have tried it the other way.. putting my 'good' knee on the pad and gently scooting with my painful leg and it worked better. Even so, I'm reluctant to use it for fear of aggravating the knee further. On saying all of this, I can see it would work well for most people. I haven't used it long enough to know how well it performs. I did have to get off to turn the scooter around in the hallway so there could be a lot of stopping and starting. Back to the drawing board for me.

Cannot use outside
OK indoors on flat wooden floors but not suitable for outdoor use. This wasn't made clear on website. Can't be returned. Wheels were described as rubber but seemed more like a hard plastic.
