It is effective
It has been awhile since I had any interest in growing things indoors but recently, on an impulse, I rescued an Aster from the dumpster pen. It was in sad shape and I was prepared to accept defeat. I decided to buy a grow lamp and the last time I looked the options were pretty much in the fluorescent lamp theater which is an index to how long it has been. A little searching on Amazon, however, turned up this LED solution as well as many others. I picked this one based on price and the fact that it just screws into a regular lamp socket. My problem was that now I had a plant whose chances of survival were iffy and a grow light technology which I was unsure of so if the plant withered away I would not know which has been the cause. As it turned out, the plant appears to be thriving... greenness is showing up everywhere. I guess that is pretty dramatic proof of the lamp's efficacy... at least for me. I am a happy camper.

Highly recommend - Very impressed - Great Results!
Light arrived quickly, I was concerned that there was no support packing in the shipping box. The light's own box held the bulb securely but that box slid around freely in the packing box. The bulb is well made and works great! It is brighter than I expected. I purchased it for my tropical bonsais for the indoor winter months. My pots take up about 9 sq ft. - lamp set about 18" away. All my plants are doing phenomenal! I was surprised my ficus didn't drop any leaves as they can be fussy when you move them - they started new leaf buds in a week. My sarissas went into bloom in 4 days. I was amazed! *And to address a another's review - we have a wifi network and satellite TV and have had zero issues and the lamp is in close proximity and on the same electric circuit.

Does ANYONE tell the truth about the wattage of their LED fixtures?
Here's some fun facts:Okay, 2835.SMD LEDs (the ones in this bulb) are rated at 0.2 watts each- 1/5th of a watt. Meaning every 5 LEDs equal ONE WATT. So 150 LEDs x 1/5th of a watt, or 0.2 watts equals 30 Watts. That's just basic math there. Then these LEDs are just chips on a board- no glass magnifiers or any beam focusing technology (I WISH) so the light coming from them, unavoidably, shines out at 180 degrees. That's just common sense. 160 at the very least, not 30 whatever stated. These are NOT magnified or focused beams. Again- I WISHI think people buying these have a pretty good idea on how many watts they need to get the job done so when you LIE to them it becomes very difficult. Having to weed out false advertisers shouldn't be part of shopping on Amazon and places like this. False advertising is actually ILLEGAL in the U.S.AI have to research every damn light I buy off here and its TIRING. I got no problem buying Chinese lights but if all you do is lie then... Well...Get your act together- please

Very bright
100W Very bright, sunglasses suggested if you are going to be around this for a while caring for your plants.Does not get hot, uses little energy thanks to the LEDs and uses the standard light bulb socket making application easy and nearly universal. This light has been shining on a few plants for over 2 months now 24hr/day, in a room that gets 0 sunlight. The plants have excelled in growth - definitely works.

More effective than my older grow lights
I've used plant grow lights for at least 7 years. Between starting my plants from seeds indoors, ultrasonic fogponics, traditional hydroponics, soilless grow media combined with more fail-proof purchasing of already established flowering plants for immediate outdoors planting, I had a combination of failures and successes. Purchased these bulbs based on input from a friend. While less than a month experience, I've been more than impressed with them, using a cheap plastic shelving unit, Amazon purchased automatic watering unit ($45) and modified (wider) clamp lights, my starters (cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers) not only look great but survived (and thrived) during a 10-day vacation we took. Working on a custom made reflector for better/more effective light delivery system.

Very glad I chose these lights.
My tiny seedlings just graduated from their sprouting boxes into their forever homes where they found their new lights. The lights are about 24 inches higher than the plants. I planted the twin leafed and richly green fellows yesterday. Today the first true leaves were already reaching out and showing that they were indeed tomato plants. They seem to flourish under these lights so my review is only second hand. I like that I can line them up about three foot apart and individually raise and lower them as the plants grow.

Works better than anticipated and we will be adding additional Outcrop ...
This was our first LED grow light for seeding butterfly host plants for our garden. Works better than anticipated and we will be adding additional Outcrop Innovations 100w lights to get ahead of the voracious appetites of our Monarch, Queen and Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars. Highly recommend this product for the best results we’ve experienced.

Working very well a month later
I bought two of these things so I could bring my outdoor potted plants inside for the few winter months we have in Texas. Hung 'em up with some cheap reflector fixtures in a hallway. The plants are doing quite well underneath 'em--the leaves of the plants have turned very dark green and growth is very good. I leave 'em on 24/7 and they've been great. They're extremely bright--I turn them off when I water the plants, 'cause I don't wanna hurt my eyes. I'd buy more, and probably will if I do the greenhouse I wanna set up eventually. I prefer these to buying fixtures that have the bulbs built-in--maybe less efficient/less bright, but it's a heck of a lot easier to repace if one of 'em quit working.
