This is great! I do a lot of knitting and crocheting and I can lay my scissors needles, etc. on it without them rolling around as they do on a tavle. I keep the tv remote and other itens in the pockets where they are handy. Great product!

I don’t trust it to use with a beverage but it’s fine for remotes, kindles, and phones.

Strong unpleasant odor

It's way too light, it has no mass or structure of its own. It would work best on a fabric couch with square topped arm rests but if you're already had that then you wouldn't really need this. We have leather furniture and these just fall off. I was just hoping for a sturdy rest to put a coffee cup on while I watch the news. Nope. Useless.
