These lights remind me of the industrial/construction light set up in caves, but way brighter! It is really neat that you can either keep these as an area light or fold them to your liking to direct where you need the light. If your needing a lot of light in a long area these fit the bill!

These lights are very bright, which is a good thing. They are also compact, which is an appreciated improvement over string lights with old style of medium base socket that use Edison bulbs..Do not expect to use the cord as an extension cord for high current tools. The male end of the light string has two prongs, and a 5' lead cord. The far female end is also two prong with a cover and has a 5' lead cord, making the total length 50'. Product description states that 16 sets can be linked together. That is because these lights are not as bright as some others at a total of 50w. 450' of lighting is a long run. I would recommend square knotting the connections when linking cords together.I prefer when these lights that have a 9' 6" lead, and a 6" tail. There is nothing gained by having a long tail, but having a long lead is important because if you hand these above your head, the 5' will probably not reach an electric outlet.The carabiner clips are useful for quickly taking the lights down. The space between the lights is 10 feet, so you should be able to put an Eye Screw once every 5 rafters in an attic if the trusses are 24" on center, and string these lights through your attic.Another option for hanging the lights would to run a small gauge cable along the path one would want to string the lights. I have a backyard that is very long in its length and did not have adequate lighting and I was always looking for a solution that was bright enough to light up the whole area that did not involve using super concentrated flood lights in on area as that our be too bright for our eyes . This construction string light was the perfect solution for our backyard that spread out the light evenly throughout our house with smaller distributed lights through the entire length while keeping the overall electricity consumption low at below 150 watts/hr.LIKES- These lights are perfect of lighting a large area evenly without being too bright in a singular spot like floodlights- They are also much more economical than flood lights as they consume far less energy to light up the same area as a LED floodlight would take- Rugged waterproof construction which makes it suitable for all weather use- The individual LED lanterns can be unfurled like a flower to focus more light in the direction you need- Very reasonably pricedDISLIKESThe only minor dislike I had was that the initial socket connector was too short and very near to the first lantern , this meant that I had to run a dedicated extension up to it as it was mounted on my roofFINAL THOUGHTSOverall this is a great, quality and all weather option for lighting up a large area at a very reasonable price and very little energy consumption . 5 Stars

These are brighter than I thought they would be. I like how the light is a diffused look and from LEDs. The string length is 50 feet with each light about 10 feet apart. That covers a lot of area for lighting. Each light has its own hanger which is great. You can use them like a lamp, or fold down the side panels and have a wider light that is best used if they are overhead.I really like these lights as they come in very handy to light up the area at night. Try these out, you will like them too.
