Far cheaper than brand flag crimps, just remember you’ll need a dedicated uninsulated flag crimper
No complaints with the actual crimps themselves, they’re the usual generic crimp terminals you can grab from a bunch of different places. They arrived in a small cardboard box with the ends taped shut, and I received exactly 50 of the connectors inside.I’ve been rewiring an espresso machine and due to limited room the design used flag terminals originally so I needed to source a replacement for my custom wiring harness. These fit the bill and are a good match, they take a crimp well with the right tool and fit snugly onto the matching sized spade. They match the advertised size and are a bit more versatile than the ones with the permanent nylon insulation. These terminals come with a softer PVC sleeve that can be slipped out of the way while crimping so you’ll need yet another crimping die or tool to do these up properly, they’re not too hard to find, and you can grab a decent generic pair for £10 to £30. With the removable insulation you can also bodge them onto a wire with pliers but if you want the best results just drop the money on the proper tool (HS-056FL) to make it less of a faff.It is disappointing to see that the description doesn’t contain all the critical information for an electrical connector. It has some of it which is accurate, but it doesn’t include the two arguably most important bits which are the acceptable wire gauge sizes for the crimp and the current rating. Considering these are just generic unbranded connectors you’d want to err on the side of caution anyway, but I believe that the same connectors from other sources are claimed to be rated for a max of 15 amps.Other than the lack of certain information on the product listing the product itself is pretty good and has worked well for my project. I wouldn’t necessarily use these for something that’s going to see sustained high currents but for general use in DIY and electrical projects they’re well worth having on hand.Price wise these connectors from Uotyle are one of the cheapest at £6.99 for 50 or alternatively £7.11 for 100 which is significantly better value. You can get them for a bit cheaper if you’re willing to wait and import them direct from China but as a quick/local option these are hard to fault in pricing with a fair enough markup.
