Australian Wool Filled Quilted Mattress Protector with 38cm Deep Skirt - Double

I debated getting a man-made 'cool' brand of mattress protector versus a wool mattress protector. Based on research information and general reviews i decided to go for a wool one. This Australian one was the best price at the time. The wool (unseen) is sealed in a cotton cover with a quilted stitched design and fits my deep mattress well. It has added further comfort to a 4yr old mattress that is still comfortable. My mattress has a built in unseen foam top and was makes me too hot in the summer. The addition of this wool mattress protector underneath a cotton fitted sheet feels as though the bed is cooler and therefore better for sleeping.I have since bought a British wool duvet and pillow protectors.I wish i had bought the British made bed inc mattress containing wool, silk and bamboo 4 yrs ago. It didn't feel as comfortable just lying on it briefly in the store but probably would have been more comfortable heat wise than the one i chose inc high quality visco elastic foam.

Definitely adds a noticeable level of comfort, well worth the extra outlay. Recommended.

We recently replaced our mattress for a very expensive one, so naturally we wanted to protect it. We were sold one of the 'Breathable' plastic membrane protectors. Being a chap on the larger side, I woke up each morning soaking wet, since the night time sweat had nowhere to go.I decided to purchase this protector instead, and I'm so glad I did. Very high quality product and I didn't wake up in a puddle of sweat.It's not explicitly mentioned here, but this is NOT a waterproof mattress protector. It will stop superficial accidents and help prevent dust mites, however.I thought the overall comfort was slightly improved with this item. I would highly recommend to anyone in a similar situation to myself.

I have bought these for myself and family. Fantastic quality, all natural materials so cool in Summer, warm in winter. Washes well but DO NOT tumble dry or shrinks. Highly recommended.

When a package the size of a large suitcase was expected, one little larger than a shoe box was quite a surprise.Compared with those toppers that may have a 'cushion' that is between 5 and 10cm deep, this looks thin and unlikely to deliver comfort, warmth when it is needed or a cool night's sleep during warmer weather - you will be surprised at just how effective it is. It is to replace one previously purchased, of similar depth but lacking the skirt to hold it firmly in place and which delivered exactly as claimed. It will make an excellent companion to a memory foam mattress, as did its predecessor. The wool filling is an excellent choice and it is far more effective and comfortable than the micro-fibre fleece topper used on another bed.Its low bulk will make it an easy fit in any washing machine.It is described as a 'protector' rather than a 'topper' although it can serve as both. The cover is 100% cotton and of a moderate thread count so should provide for several years of use. It is reasonably priced.

We have a very comfy memory foam mattress but, every night, I felt like I was being roasted alive. I was so hot. I read somewhere that wool is a natural body temperature regulator so in desperation ordered this mattress topper. Well, let’s just say that the last couple of nights have been blissful. Lovely, cool, unbroken sleep! I would highly recommend this product!

Quality product, very well made and very comfortable... Best thing about it! The wool padding of this mattress protector dries in a fraction of its all-cotton predecessor, which annoyingly used to take 10-12 HOURS to dry!
