New shipments are NOT subject to the FDA recall
I have enjoyed this cereal for more than five years and was devastated when the FDA issued a recall due to the potential for salmonella contamination. I am not aware that any of the cereal shipped was actually contaminated, but I have had to do with inadequate substitutes for many months. The new shipment I received on 17 May 2024 is NOT subject to the recall. The FDA recall of 14 Dec 2023 listed product "Best Before of Sep- 01-24 and any earlier date". I just received a fresh shipment, and the date is 09 Sep 2024, i.e. current product that is not subject to the recall.

Great value. Tastes good. Not many almond slices. Raisins are hard as shotgun pellets.
I like almost everything about this granola. It tastes great, is filling & you get a bunch for your money. Generally, I eat this granola with berries, apples & A few cashews or peanuts; covered in a third to a half a cup of yogurt. (Vanilla) It is a great breakfast, and gives me a lot of energy. Tastes fantastic. Downside: the raisins are pretty much like pea gravel, or shotgun pellets. I can see how they would dry out quickly in all that dried oat & (A few) almond slices. The yogurt does rehydrate them somewhat, and if you put milk (soy, oat or regular) in to the mix & let it sit for a while; they might "plump" up. I just have to be careful & bite/chew the raisins carefully. Still, the best granola value that I have found.
