Japanese Beetle Trap Stand

Smashed boxes
I haven't used the trap yet. Upon delivery both boxes in the order were smashed. Nothing was damaged. So far the stand is flimsy. I do know the bait attracts Japanese beetles.

Rickety, falls apart as I pick it up
I've got several one-piece stands for Japanese Beetle traps, and needed a couple more. The stores were sold out, so I picked these on Amazon. I'm not happy with them - they come in about six pieces that have to be fit together, but they don't fit tightly. I can't even pick the stand up without it falling apart, and I'm going to have to use pliers to pinch the connectors closed on the rods to even be able to use the stands. And once they're pinched, I won't be able to take them apart for storage.Terrible design!Edited 7/7/14: I'm taking away another star because these stands BEND as the bag fills with beetles. This is a terrible year for them - my rosebushes are ravaged. And even changing the bag (or emptying the reservoir in the other style we have)daily put too much weight on these dismal stands. They bow almost down to the ground, and are worthless.

This whole beetle trap thing is very frustrating, every time you buy one piece you find out there are more pieces needed.

Sloppy Fit
I was disappointed with these. They're sectional and have a sloppy fit when assembled. Think I can do better? Heck yes! This year I got 3/16" x 4' rod at the hardware and made my own improved 1-piece stand. The Jap Beetle traps work very well BTW.

DO NOT BUY.
These are a complete joke. Bought two of them and each one bent over and broke when the traps filled up. Save you money an purchase some cheap shepherd hooks. They are stronger and cheaper.
