A very useful piece of kit to have around you if you are into repairing books in general that may have a damaged spine.The Filmoplast is easy to put in place and trim prior to applying it, this repair really strengthens the spine.

Magic
I was using the reinforced tape which makes a very strong job but is slightly acid. This tape makes a similar job and you have the added confidence that it is not going to degrade what it is applied to. It can be used for both the internal and external hinge, though the narrower tape can be used in combination, but it does do a great job.

Simple to apply following the instructions though for a large book two pairs of hands may be needed. It looks stout enough to last well.
