Works
I put this on the roof of my wrangler to stop heat and sound. I throw my dogs in the back and take them on vacation with me and it’s hard to keep the cool. This stuff has cut down the heat to none, before you couldn’t touch the roof and now it’s well insulated. The sound deadening is amazing, freeway noise was unbearable, couldn’t talk on the phone, as it was too loud. I took the seats out and put sound deadening sheets from front to back, also the doors. Supper quiet now, it’s a great product. Why did you pick this product vs others?:thicknessValue for money:bit expensive, but worth it.

Do You Actually Want to Reduce Noise in Your Vehicle?
Most people tend to focus on sound dampening when addressing vehicle noise. While butyl mats and dampening products play an important role, they are just one part of the solution. Additionally, closed-cell foam, commonly used for soundproofing, offers minimal sound-absorbing properties (although it has its place)Dynacore, however, is a true sound-absorbing product that, when applied correctly, can significantly improve NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels. Considering its weight, price, and ease of application, this product offers great value. Depending on your needs, it can be applied behind doors, in the roof/headliner, in the trunk, on fender liners/wheel wells, under the hood, and more.I specifically chose Dynacore for its exceptional low-frequency performance. It’s hard to find a product that effectively addresses low frequencies, aside from MLV, and Dynacore performs well across the full frequency spectrum. Additionally, I wanted something that would be easier to work with. This made it a great fit for my application.I used Dynacore on my fender liners and immediately noticed a substantial reduction in road noise. Given its cost, I applied it to both the top and cabin-facing sides of the liners. I still have some product left and haven’t decided where to use it yet.The material was easy to work with and cut, but I would recommend being mindful of available clearance. Since this is a sound-absorbing product, it performs best with minimal compression. In hindsight, I would opt for the 1/2-inch version for this particular application. While it should be part of a more comprehensive soundproofing plan, it delivered the most significant and noticeable improvement in my experience. If you are looking to address noise in your vehicle this product should be high up on your list!

Durable, lightweight, and easy to install.
Reduced the actual engine noise coming in through the firewall of my 1960 C10 Apache with a 6.0 twin turbo LS. Compared video footage sound before and after and can notice a difference. Would like to order one more to get it in places I couldn’t before.Easy instillation and worth the money.Coupled this with some closed cell foam insulation for added effect.
