HMX Linear 5-Pin MX Mechanical Keyboard Switches for Custom Keyboards (HMX Xinhai, 90 Switches)

A bit of a funny story: I ordered the wrong switches. I originally wanted to try the HMX Sunset Gleam, but ended up ordering the Cheese switch instead. Since most HMX switches are similar to one another spec wise, I decided to roll with it rather than returning and exchanging - and I'm glad I did!As soon as I installed these switches, I could tell they were truly special. They were feathery and smooth. Even though they're fairly lightweight switches, they don't feel too light. I'm used to heavier switches (think Baby Raccoons or Oil Kings), but these were surprisingly easy to get used to. The sound is also great: a crisp and clean high-pitched clacky sound profile that is music to your ears.I wish there was a slightly heavier version of the switch, but overall, I'm enjoying using the HMX Cheese. I definitely recommend any of the HMX switches if you're looking for a lightweight switch with a clean, clacky sound profile; you won't be disappointed!

These switches are amazing. You can lube them to make them sound thocky or instead lightly lube them to make them sound creamy. It doesn’t block out your Rgb lights either. It is easy to just pop them into your keyboard put make sure you place them in facing the right way or you will bend the pins. For how much they cost the value is good.

The media could not be loaded. HMX switches are known for their “clacky” sound profile accompanied by their amazing factory lubing, these Xinhai’s are no exception. These are probably the loudest/clackiest switches I have ever tried, they borderline feel like porcelain. My only concern when buying these were the 37g operating force and the 45g bottom-out, I thought these would be way too light to type on but these feel really responsive and easy to get used to.
