A must buy for retro WWF fans
For those like me who watched the then WWF as a kid in the early 90s, this DVD boxset is the one for you as it contains the very best WrestleManias of that era.It starts off with WrestleMania VI and the epic Hogan-Warrior title vs title match in front of 65,000 fans inside the Toronto SkyDome and the atmosphere was amazing.WrestleMania VI was highlighted by the Warrior-Savage retirement match and the reunion of Savage and Miss Elizabeth, not to mention Hogan taking on Sgt Slaughter in the Main Event WWF Title match.WrestleMania VIII was in front of another massive crowd at the Hoosier Dome this time and had a double main event. WWF Champion Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage and Sid Justice looking to end Hulkamania. The match that outshone the 2 though had to be the IC Title match between Roddy Piper and Bret Hart.WrestleMania IV was the first WrestleMania outside, at Caesar's palace and was dubbed The Biggest Toga Party in the World. The Yokozuna- Bret Hart WWF Title ended in a superbly contraversial finish.WrestleMania X saw it return to MSG and saw 2 WWF Title matches (Yokozuna took on Luger, with the winner taking on Bret Hart). Owen Hart and Bret Hart put on a fantastic opener, but Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels stole the show with their IC Title ladder match.WrestleMania XI had a WWF Title match of Diesel vs HBK, but was main evented by Bam Bam Bigelow taking on NFL player Lawrence Taylor, in which was a celebrity packed WrestleMania, most notably Pamela Anderson. All in all this pack contains the best WrestleManias of the retro era of guys like Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Bret Hart, British Bulldog, Roddy Piper, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna, Legion of Doom, Million Dollar Man, Mr Perfect and many, many more greats.

A WWE collectable that cannot be faulted. Brings back memories of great wrestlers, many of whom have sadly passed on.

The good and bad of Wrestlemania
The Wrestlemania Anthology continues into the early 1990s with Wrestlemania 6 to 11. While some of these patrician Wrestlemanias don't stand out much, they do feature several stand out matches and moments that fans still talk about today.Wrestlemania 6 marks the first out of only two Wrestlemanias to bet set outside the United States; set in Toronto Canada, featuring the Ultimate Challenge between Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior, which today is still my favourite match for both participants, especially as it was the match that made me a wrestling fan when I first saw it over 20 years ago. Fans should also take notice of the promo of Jake The Snake Roberts before his match with Ted DiBiasie; one of the best promos in history.Wrestlemania 7 is a Wrestlemania of two halves; a very strong first half but a pretty weak second half. While a lot of people don't like the blindfold match between Jake Roberts and Ric Martel, I found it very entertaining. This Wrestlemania is also known for the Wrestlemania debut of The Undertaker and the start of the longest undefeated streak in Wrestlemania history. While the main event between Hulk Hogan and Sgt Slaughter was decent, the night really belonged to the Career Ending Match between The Ultimate Warrior and Macho Man Randy Savage in another Wrestlemania classic.Like Wrestlemania 7, Wrestlemania 8 is a mixed bag, featuring a great WWE Championship match between Macho Man Randy Savage and Ric Flair, an underrated opener between Tito Santana and Shawn Michaels, and features a terrific Intercontinental Championship match between Roddy Rowdy Piper and Bret Hart. The main event between Hulk Hogan and Sid Justice however remain one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history and is memorable only for the surprise return of The Ultimate Warrior at the conclusion of the match.Wrestlemania 9 however is a contender for the worst Wrestlemania of all time. The opening matches with Shawn Michaels vs. Tatanka and The Steiner Brothers vs. The Headshrinkers were very good, but it all goes downhill from there including a terrible match between The Undertaker and Giant Gonzales and the WWE. Championship match between Bret Hart and Yokozuna has one of the worst endings to a Wrestlemania in history.Wrestlemania 10 thankfully still stands as one of the best Wrestlemanias in history featuring two classic matches with Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart and Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon and the last WWE pay per view match for Macho Man Randy Savage. While Wrestlemania 9 had one of the worst endings in Wrestlemania history, this one has one of the best endings in WWE history and gives birth to a new era in WWE.Wrestlemania 11 is considered my many to be the worst Wrestlemania ever as not one match stands out from the entire show. IMO, the best match was the Intercontinental Championship match between Razor Ramon and Jeff Jerrett, but the DQ finish really hurts it. The I Quit match between Bret Hart and Bob Backlund is probably one of the worst matches in Bret Hart's career, which even Hart admits himself. The WWE Championship match between Diesel and Shawn Michaels was decent, but far from great, and having the show end with a celebrity match between Lawrence Taylor and Bam Bam Bigelow shows why it is considered the worst Wrestlemania of all time.
