This is the BEST Brooder on the market! Worth every penny and will last you forever! Use again and again and resell value is excellent!I bought one over 2 years ago and loved it so much I purchased a 2nd brooder! I have recommended it to everyone Ive given chicks to!I have used this brooder when I had no broody hen, to help my broody with lots of babies and so much more! The Brines EcoGlow Brooder is like having a broody with your chicks! I could never go back to the traditional light brooder!here are some reasons I prefer this brooder vs the traditional light brooderBrines EcoGlow Brooder ~ VS ~ Traditional Light BrooderNo worry of fire or too much heat! ~ VS ~ Can cause a fire or burn chicks aliveUses very little Power ~ VS ~ Uses More PowerNever Runs out, Never needs to be replaced ~ VS ~ Must replace light when it burns outEasy to clean with just a quick wipe ~ VS ~ Cannot touch when hotNever gets too HOT only stays the perfect temp ~ VS ~ Gets VERY HotReuse it over and over again for year and years ~ VS ~ Must replace the light when it goes out, switch ca break. You can leave it on and go away for days without worry ~ VS ~ Cant leave it on for too longKeeps chicks warm and cozy as they sleep ~ VS ~ Keeps chicks warn but can get too hot or too bright & keep chicks up!Mimics momma by allowing chicks to sleep under it ~ VS ~ Is Nothing like mommaChicks can sleep next to it, under it and even go on top of it ~ VS ~ Only Hangs over chicks only and they cant escape the heatVery Natural way for Chicks to sleep ~ VS ~ Not Natural way for Chicks to sleepAdjustable to 3 sizes ~ VS ~ Can only hang from a certain high to be safe!Ive used this brooder on cold nights so my adult chickens could sleep next to it for extra heat! My bantam hens can fit under it when set to highest size. Ive also used the brooder when I had a lot of chicks and mom needed some help, all the chicks were perfectly happy to have a choice. This brooder is also perfect when your broody is sleeping in a nest thats too high for chicks to get to so when they loose mom or fall out, they have a place to sleep until mom can get to them again! This brooder is a life safer!! I purchased it because I had no broody but now I always have broody hens and still love to use it!! I love that it can be adjusted to 3 sizes so can fit newly hatched chicks and grow with them, it is compact enough to fit inside the nest, you can take it apart to store and/or clean, and I don't ever have to worry that the bedding will catch on fire!I've added several pictures to this product before I wrote review. I am adding even more and have so many to share! This is a great product I could go on and on about it!! Here is a link to my youtube video. In this video my Broody hen has 36 chicks so I gave her the EcoGlow to assist at night![...]

This is the best thing I have used with baby chickens
This is the best thing I have used with baby chickens. We brought 17 babies home from the hatchery and they immediately knew to go under it when they needed warmth or a feeling of safety. No heat lamps were needed and all have flourished with no problem. We did keep them in a utility room in our house so temperature was between 60 and 70 degrees in the room. We also bought the larger size so when they got bigger and needed more room it was available. They loved both sizes and needed no coaxing to go under it. As they grew they would sometimes sleep with their heads out or if the temperature was warm enough they huddle around it close enough to run under it for protection and warmth. I have raised chicks with heat lamps and broody hens and the temperament of these chicks more resembled the calm and happy chicks raised by hens. The brooder provides a feeling of protection as well as warmth and all chicks are secure and happy not fussy and frazzled like they get with heat lamps. The brooder also allowed us after the first three days with continuous light to turn off the main light and leave another light on in the room almost like a night light. The babies sleep through the night instead of being up 24 hours all the time. This led to happy peaceful babies that were rested. The only drawback with the smaller one is the legs are a little difficult to assemble and can be broken if forced but the upside is they were wider and made a more enclosed space to keep the heat in. The larger brooder legs are easier to adjust but they leave a more open space under the brooder which the babies didn't seem to mind when we changed to it but they were older and didn't need as much heat. The only drawback to either brooder is as the babies get older they do love to roost on top of the brooder but the surface is smooth and glossy and can be easily cleaned. I put a folded dog training pad on top because I use them in a child's wading pool to provide a safe, easily cleanable home for the chicks. They can be tossed when the top gets messy instead of constantly cleaning off the top. Overall I was enormously pleased with the purchase and believe it is a quality product and a great investment. Resell value is also good if the item is no longer needed. In an environment of poorly constructed products this item does its job successfully and is constructed well. This company should feel proud of its quality and performance.

Great product. Would buy again.
We are starting our chicks inside the house and were very concerned about the possibility of a fire from using a heat lamp while we were away at work. This seems like a good safe alternative to heat lamps. Setup was easy and took less than 5 minutes. Snap in the end pieces, plug it in and you are all set. The chicks love it. At first I pushed a couple of them under it and when the others saw they were happy they followed along. it does not get hot enough to set a fire even with direct contact. If you leave your hand on the bottom it is warm similar to a heating pad. It is not so hot you would have to remove your hand if you didn't want to. I also like that the chicks can keep warm and still get used to some darkness at night. I would buy this again. It is more expensive than a heat lamp but electricity savings over about 5 weeks should offset some of that cost. Peace of mind while I am at work is priceless. The only thing I don't like is that the top surface has a textured logo in the plastic which makes the poop difficult to clean off once it is baked on. As you know if you have or have had chicks the only thing they like more than peeping and eating is pooping on everything they can. We started using contact paper on day two. The design should be changed to have a smooth top surface.

Plug and Play
I'm in the midst of hatching my first ever batch of chicks. I've removed the first two chicks from the incubator and placed them in the brooder with the EcoGlow 20. They have snuggled in and seem quite content. The heater will heat the chicks but not the surrounding air so it is easy for them to get away from the heat when they need to.The model I received has a flat panel on either end which the heater plate snaps into and is adjustable to three levels. I would like to have had the model with four legs so the height could be adjusted independently at each end for faster and slower developing chicks. The option with this model is to put something under one end to raise it to the desired level.I like the fact that there isn't a bulb that could burst and that the heater will not heat the bedding underneath so there isn't a chance of fire.I'm considering setting up another brooder and, if I do, I will definitely purchase another one of these heaters.

Super product - safe and economical
I bought this to replace a 250W infrared lamp which I always worried was too hot. The Eco Glow was fantastic once my ducklings realised that they should go underneath it, rather than climb on top! It doesn't radiate heat like the lamp but allows the ducklings / chicks to snuggle up underneath it - I suppose just like they were being sat on by a mother duck or hen. When the ducklings became just too messy for my daughter's bedroom, I moved them and the Eco Glow outside into a little house which gave them some warmth at night. I would highly recommend this product - much safer than the infrared lamps and my little ducks loved it.

Love it!
I do love this. Easier and safer than a lamp and the chicks love it. So far I've used it with quail and chickens. It works for both. They seem happy and they are never cold. I don't think a full 20 chicks would fit, though. Not chickens, anyway. Quail, sure. For my silkie babies, I think 15 was the max it could fit comfortably.
