This voltage reducer seems to work as advertised. Installation is relatively easy--depending on the cart you're installing it in. After the device is mounted and the output wires are attached to the load, the input wires are attached to the batteries. There is a brief spark during that process. I wish the supplier included how much current the device consumes with no load attached. A product search revealed a number of voltage reducers that appeared to be identical in all aspects except price. I made my choice on that basis.

I installed this on my 2013 48v CC 4 mo ago to power a LED light kit. Works fine for me. There are no instructions but pretty easy to figure out. I originally used a direct lead off the battery bank as the power source but learned the hard way that the unit stays ON all the time and killed my aging batts. With new batts and changing the 48v source to a switched source (i.e. the ignition key or solenoid), I'm hoping it keeps working as advertised.

I bought and installed this on my EZGO RXV to run the 12volt lights I installed on my cart. Clean and simple to install. worked great

We used this to hook up a underbody light kit on our golf cart. It is small and easy to place and worked perfectly. As a side note there are some great videos on You Tube on how to install these in general if you need it. You will need to buy a few parts for the project.

Wired up quick and easy, however this unit runs hot 24/7 I've been told these are hit or miss whether I got a good one or not remains to be seen as it's currently working but does have a slight draw on my batteries when not in use...

Great to have if you have 48 volt ( 4 - 12 volt batteries ) in your golf cart - when adding any electronic accessories such as "LEDGLOW" color lights ( Blue & Green ) in which I've bought to use on my golf cart. Easy to use & connect.

I've had this installed for about 2 years now. It still works as a reducer, but the efficiency has gone down significantly. I started to notice that my 1 year old cart batteries were lasting about 1/2 as long per charge. I disabled this transformer and battery lifespan is back to normal.

Never worked right out of the box. Returned and bought a different brand. Waste of money and time.
