Yes this works on enamel finishes as well.

Q: Can you use this on an oven rack?

If it’s a metal rack - you should be able to use it

Q: Do you end up with grit/residue on your grill grates that needs to be wiped off before you cook on the grill?

Not really ..you should use it when the grill is hot and wipe it with a wet towel then you're ready to cook...much safer than the wire brush that can break off and end up in your food...I'll never use a wire brush again

Q: Can you start cooking right after using it?

Like any regular cleaning tool/product, once you clean up, you are set to use the grill
