South Shore Aviron Bookcase Headboard, Twin, Blueberry

I read the negative reviews and decided to buy it anyway because the price was right. I easily put it together, in under two hours, by myself, mom of four.....(actually with some help from my 4 years old.....that's why it took so long;-)). The headboard seems solid. I had no issues with any holes not lining up. They were all perfect. The "veneer" looks nice but it's more of a paper than a veneer. I wouldn't buy this if you plan on putting it into a room where it's going to get abused. I can imagine that this will look worn pretty quickly. I glued a wooden flower applique on it and when I pulled off the painters tape it took some of the paper veneer with it. I didn't care because I plan on painting the headboard to match the furniture in the room (which I think will strengthen the finish and make it sturdier.)(I did put dark walnut touch up marker on the damages and it hid it very well.)All in all I like it, hope it holds up!

I was able to assemble this headboard/shelf in an hour or so by myself, of course I had little helpers who were so excited about a new bed. The headboard is sturdy and secure. I did have to reach out to south shore since when I was hammering the backboard in a nail went in crooked on each side messing up the side board slightly (I was able to correct this). The company was very helpful even willing to replace each side board. I am beyond happy with this purchase and so is my son (so proud of his new bed).

Product came with mismanufactured holes for assembly. Called the manufacturer and they did send new with no questions asked. If you buy from this company expect almost every piece to have a poorly manufactured part, missing part, or broken part. If you actually get an item without something wrong it is pretty easy to put together. And it didn't smell horribly like other reviews. The quality control for this company is absolutely horrible. I wouldn't buy from them again.

My husband helped me assemble, thankfully. We purchased the headboard, nightstand and a dresser. It’s not high end, weighty furniture. But, it’s quite lovely, and will suit our kids fine for the next few years. Directions were straightforward, all parts separated into sealed pouches. Overall, exactly what you’d expect at the price point. Love the color. Pleased!

Someone failed at their job when it came to drilling holes in the correct place. We bought both the headboard & bed, hoping this is the only issue because we can attempt to drill new holes & cam holes to close the gap under the shelf! Not confident in the rest of the headboard & base of bed if we ran into this problem right off the bat!

Luckily I have already purchased this type of headboard for a king bed I had. So assembly was much easier this time. If it’s your first time putting together be aware it will take FOREVER to assemble. Bought again because of the great quality of the product. Only negative is it looks more black in the picture but arrives in more of a blue look

Smaller than I thought. I was hoping for a little bigger.

Storage is nice along with place for cords. This product does not fit all twin beds.Instructions should be in print along with picture. Not a good buy. I will donate later.

This is a very cute headboard. It would be great for books, our son loves it to hold his favourite stuffies. The decal is a nice touch for his nautical themed bedroom and we just love the colour. Very cute set. Only downfall was that one of the pieces had the pre drilled holes in the wrong spot so we were unable to put it together right away. The company was excellent to deal with though, sending us the new part free of charge within a couple of days. Although this is not solid wood, the quality is there for the price point. I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this with the bed...I read a review of someone who build the headboard & had a gap under the shelf...you need to flip that piece around its just upside down - I made the same mistake & thought the holes were wrong & I was ready to loose my mind on the company when I took a closer look & realized it was me...not them. The company should add an arrow, that would fix this (probably) common mistake.

Great headboard and made in Canada. Can peel easy but for the price who cares

Products were very well packaged and arrived safely with no defects. A stain matching touch up marker was included and I’m sure it will come in handy one day!
