NOT FOR BRAIDED SS HOSE
Like many that use AN fittings in the past we assume that -8 is -8 ... After plumbing 30 or 40 cars in my life time i have a good grasp of how these fittings work ... First lets get this all cleared up ... These hose ends are not to be used with STAINLESS STEEL BRAIDED HOSE .. they are to be used with nylon braided hose ... if you try to install this style from this brand on your silver stainless steel hose it will be a disaster ... if you install these fittings on the black nylon braided hose it will work perfect and easy to install ... the description of the product is not clear about this in fact the description pretty much leads you to believe you have bought exactly what you need .... DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE RUNNING STAINLESS BRAIDED HOSE .. THE SHINNY STUFF ... THIS IS FOR BLACK NYLON BRAIDED HOSE

Worst AN Hose Ends EVER
The first one I used leaked. So I checked to make sure the mandrel and insert was tight; it moved a little with no effort, so I went to turn it town until it stopped. Problem was, it didn't stop, it just twisted off! So I cut the hose and installed another one with great care. All seemed fine, until I put pressure in it! Oil started seeping out around the mandrel. Knowing that it was snug, I took it off of the fitting and made sure everything was clean. Re-installed it and same problem.Once again I cut off the hose and this time installed an old Earl's fitting I had. Went together fine, same effort, but this time... no leaking!2 out of 2 bad fittings is the wrong batting average. FYI, I've been putting together hoses like this for over 40 years, I don't think it was operator error!

Buy Evil Energy!
The media could not be loaded. I have at least 50 Evil Energy fittings... Not a single leak, defect or issue yet.Using 4an, 6an, 8an, and 12an sizes.Running air, oil, coolant, and power steering fluid with these and braided stainless hose.Quit debating brands, this one for fittings. For install a solid/thin tape on the hose for keeping the fray in check during cutting with a die grinder or Dremel cut wheel.Blow out the hose with compressed air there will be rubber bits in it.A bit of water based assembly lube helps the fitting parts together on the hose end.Steel crescent wrenches can be used if you don't mind marring the aluminum fitting finishes a bit. I really regret not buying a pair of AN wrenches though.

Total trash
Zero stars. Spend the money on Russell or Aeroquip or even Jegs. Absolutely hands down the biggest trash garbage piece of aluminum made to imitate an actual AN fitting. The sleeve was so undersized where it first slides onto the hose that it wouldn’t even go on with a kool tool. That was with black nylon braided line much less steel braided line. All it did was push the braid back and bunch it up. Cut and re-tried 3 times. Same result. And I’ve installed hundreds of fittings with ease. I only ordered this because of next day delivery. Spend the money on Russell or Aeroquip or even Jegs.

Works - but very tight
As noted by other reviewers, you get what you pay for. Other fittings may be easier to fit and I did struggle greatly with getting my braided hose into this fitting (90 degree 10AN). The secret is to recognize that the threading is left handed for the hose. So when pushing the hose into the fitting before putting it together, make sure you turn it the opposite way that you'd expect. You may need to use a flat head screwdriver to push in stray braiding threads, but it *will* get there eventually!

It works but......
These seem like very well made fittings, as nice as the ones from Russell and Earls. The problem is that they don't use the same thread size for the fitting end (the piece which goes straight, 90 degree, 45 degree, etc) which screws into the sleeve (the part that goes over the hose), which means you can't interchange them with other brands. Lots of times I'll put together a hose and then need to reposition it to another angle, so all I normally would do is change out the end - all the other brands use the same size threads to my knowledge (I've used them all - from Russell, Earls, Aeroquip, Jegs, Summit, etc). So as long as your good with not being able to interchange the ends with other brands - they are a great value.

Junk.
Terrible fittings, the quality fittings have about 1/4 of an inch if smooth surface before the ribs to aid in getting it over the braided hose. These have about 1/16 so you destroy hise and punch a lot of things trying to get them on (kidding about the punching but it does suck). Spend the extra few dollars on the good ones if it's going on a fuel system. You'll ruin more hose and your hands than it's worth. These were for a breather system so I made them work but it was terrible. If you have a ton of patience and it won't be under a lot of pressure these could work.

Great price, needs work
When reading other reviews, the most common problem I found was that the fittings were too small to fit the -10 hose. I was prepared for this issue, but saving $10+ per fitting is worth a little modification. When I got the fittings, they were, indeed, too tight for the hose. I took some sandpaper and spent about 2 minutes sanding each one. One coarse grit and one fine grit. After that, they fit perfect. Nice and tight, and they butt right up to the flat part inside, where it’s supposed to. After sanding, they weren’t extremely difficult to twist on. With a mechanic glove and a good firm grip, they went on great and I couldn’t be happier.

Quality for the price
Bought these as extras to go with the kit I bought as they only came with 2 90* fittings, but seem like great quality and time will tell how the hold up

Would not recommend to my worst enemy
Terrible, really cheaply made one of them the threads were messed up also the paint on the other one is peeling off already and it wasn’t even on the car yet

Nice Fittings
Received these parts quickly. Nice looking fittings, seem to fit and function just like the "big name big price" fittings. I would definitely buy from this seller again!
