One latch, two backset options
This brightly-polished knob and latch set is designed to bolt together through a door and through the latch, rather than both knobs into the woodwork.A key feature of this set is that the backset (the distance from the centre of the knob to the edge of the latch plate) is adjustable to be either 60mm or 70mm (but not in between) just by moving the spindle hole before fitting the knobs.One of the knobs has a pair of bars permanently fixed to it, this one has no fixing screws or bolts visible when fitted. The other is fixed through to it with bolts so unfortunately does have screws visible, so consideration should be made with regards to which way round you'd fit the knobs.The length of the bolts, rods and central spindle allow for the door to be between 30mm and 55mm (just about) in thickness. If using a different latch (for example due to requiring a different backset or magnetic latching) the following information should be noted:-* The spindle is 7.5mm in diameter and rests in a square orientation, not a diamond* The joining rods are on 40mm centres* If the latch has no suitable holes for the rods, they can go above and below a latch of up to 35mm in height
