Outhwaite Rope Gun Dog Slip Lead, 12 mm x 72-inch, Purple

This is a good, strong product. Looks good too. The loop glides easily but, the stopper is firm. Lead is strong enough and long enough to hold an energetic Staffie. I also use lead on much smaller dog too and it doesn't seem to be too heavy. I was so pleased I purchased a second pair for spares to stay in the car.

Bought a purple and red so they don't get mislaid. Very good quality and length for my springer gun dog but would also suit the larger breeds. Can't wait to get out with then. Update: still going strong and much admired. Will be buying more. Would like a white or neutral colour. Update: my liver and white springer is going hospital visiting - so is wearing his new red leather collar and red long lead. Will make quite an entrance. Update- now own two Springer spaniels -,both using these heads in red.

Nice 'Racing' Green rope style dog lead.Soft, looks nice, no plastic bits in sight, doubles as a very useful hand warmer if you wrap the excess around your fingers !It's a slip-lead but I sometimes undo the slip (very easily done) and use a carabiner on the ring to attach to the collar.Long enough to let the hound sniff around, but not as long as those horrid extendable plastic numbers that people use in the municipal park.Good quality, well-made item, and if you like traditional stuff you will like this.If you like nasty, bright-coloured plastic and garish patterns this ain't for you.Still using this 3 years down the line. The colour is a nice subdued country green not the lime colour on the page.

This lead is absolutely fine but not quite what I'd thought it would be. I expected it to be stronger (broader rope) and more robust than it seems. Given its not what I expected, it does seem quite expensive. But it does the job, so no real complaint.

Not much to say really, it's a rope with a loop at either end. Well made, soft enough to use in 'figure-of-eight' on a gundog (or any breed that pulls)When this one gives up the ghost I'll buy another one in a heartbeat.

Great when you need a longer lead. We frequently walk along the canal and there are times when the path is so narrow that we can't walk side by side. With other, shorter, leads either she has been stepping on my heels or I'm stepping on hers. This lead is long enough for the dog to be in front, under control but not getting under my feet.

I have had lots of slip leads over the years andbthe first i have bought on line. I wouldnt have bought this product had i seen it in the shop. Not whatbi was expecting
