This sail shade kit is a great deal for anyone who wants to add a bit of sun protection overhead. The kit comes with everything you need to properly affix and harness up the sail in a location of your choice...lag screws, carabiners, springs, and rope included.The material isn't particularly heavy, so this may not stand up to multiple seasons outdoors, but - for thirty bucks - it's tough to beat the build quality and the fact that all the hardware comes in one kit. For the sail, the stitching is simple and strong, and the corners are nicely reinforced. The material does shed water just fine, and dries out fast. The hardware is all solid steel, and I'd see no reason for anything to fail prematurely.I did learn the hard way that there's little room for error when hanging such a shade up. In order to have the sail completely taut on all corners, you do have to ensure that the lines pulling the corners out are pointing out at equal angles from the corners. I.e., you must maintain the triangular shape of the sail while pulling the corners out. Otherwise, one edge will droop and the sail will tend to flap in the breeze. (Looking at the geometry of it afterwards, it became quite apparent...)After a few adjustments, however, the sail pulled out nice and taut, and it's been an excellent solution to the sunshine in the back yard area. I'm looking forward to finding another one and doubling-up!

Material quality is ok. It's not quite sheer but not solid so it'll allow some light through. That's not bad though because it'll look nicer not having a black block of shade on the ground, just a reduction of sunlight. I like that it is customizable in the sense that it doesn't require a frame, it can be hung between trees in any manner you wish. The grommets for hanging feel sturdy enough. I can't speak on their individual strength because I'm mounting it by lacing the rope along each side for maximum wind resistance

This shade sail seems well made. Good stitching, comes with good quality hardware. Eye screws, cord, springs. I like that they included springs to adsorb wind gusts. Two people recommended to hang.

This sun shade is made out of a thick waterproof fabric and it does a great job of blocking out the sun’s intense rays. The color is true to the photos in the listing and it looks great.

Only after receiving this fully-outfitted Sun Shade Sail Kit from CNCZMH did I learn that there are very different types of Sun Shades/Shade Sails, made of vastly different materials that manage sun/wind/rain, differently, and that require specific types of installation depending on the composition of the fabric of manufacture. Usually I do quite a bit of research prior to ordering anything, but the brutal heat we have had and the relentless sun led my fingers to press select when I saw that this sun shade was in a color and a size that I thought I could use (Beige, 9.8'x 6.5' for $29.99) for some affordable relief. Oh well. This is a waterproof sun shade/sail/canopy, and as such is made of a lightweight (but strong) treated polyester. The weave is fine and tight, not open like another type of shade/sail/canopy that allows rain/water to drain through it. As such, it requires installation of a particular sort to incorporate a proper slope for the drainage of the water it can collect. Installing this properly is beyond my ability at the moment, but, what I can definitely review is the quality of the shade construction, and of the comprehensive hardware and cording that comes in a very nice zippered carry all to keep it all together prior to setup. Also included is an English language User Manual with diagrams and clear instructions on all aspects of assembly, safety, cleaning, placement, appropriate use (and, therefore, expectation of product performance), technical data, and Warranty & Customer Service Information and Warranty Card. I will have to leave it to others' reviews as to how the installed shade sail functions, but if I am able to install it or hire its installation, then I will update my review.

This is a great size, color and comes with everything you need to install it. The material is canvas like, so not the see-through shade cloths you are used to seeing. Waterproof fabric keeps you dry and protected from the sun!

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the fabric that this sunshade is made out of, and then even more pleasantly surprised at the quality of the manufacture itself. All of the stitching is very well done, everything is double stitched, and even the included hardware is of really good quality! It even has a zippered storage pouch that can be reused once the weather goes from sunny to too rainy.My only quibbles are that a) probably you need more rope than they provided and b) they provide 4 sets of hardware for 6 points of attachment. I had the spare parts around to secure all 6 points (3 tips, 3 sides on the triangle) but honestly, you CAN get the spare parts easily at any well stocked hardware store.It took me about 45 minutes to install it, from start to finish, enabling me to add much needed shade to one of my dog kennel areas, and my big girl went from looking at it with great suspicion to laying under it like the Queen of the Nile in about an hour.It provides very good, solid shade, and is holding up very well in our breezy area - it doesn't make that unpleasant 'plastic' snap and crackle you get from woven plastic tarps, it sounds more like a ship's sail. Highly recommend this!

We put this out in the courtyard of my work for the smokers to sit under during the Texas summer. It works great. It reduces the temperature drastically. I was very surprised how it heild the rain. We had to walk under it and push up pockets where the rain puddled. Everyone is very happy with this at work.
