Oplink Connected IPC1200 Wi-Fi IP Camera (White)

I few things this amazon page does not say about this camera: It has an integrated microphone. So you can actually record audio from the room the camera is in as well as video.Also, there is a joint between the base and the camera that allows you to angle the camera around - angle and elevation. The base has four holes (and comes with some screws/sheet rock mollys). So you can mount the camera base flush to a wall in the corner of a room and then angle the camera appropriately after the base is mounted. There is a thumb screw to tighten everything down once the camera is angled how you want it. You can flip the view of the camera from the software after the fact if you want to mount the camera to the ceiling.I gave this camera 4 stars just because the IR diodes are pretty weak. The picture quality of this camera is pretty good when the lights are on in the room, but during low light situations the IR diodes do not project very far. A person's face at the back of a dark room isn't discernible. So if you want proper night time surveillance you need to provide some extra IR light sources.

This entire security system is perfect, inexpensive as systems go, and offers great customer support (see the response to the question about instrusive ads for an example of how good they are!). I would recommend these cameras, along with the entire system. OpLink offers a cost-effective security system for those who do not wish to go with one of those more costly options.Additionally, OpLink offers the most current and up-to-date technologies while other companies are playing catch-up. Setting up the system is as easy as pointing your smartphone at the UPC sticker on the back of each piece of equipment...it really is a system for the novice or the person who feels he or she cannot set such a system up....YES YOU CAN! I full-heartedly recommend this entire system...cameras and all! Nice smartphone app that works like a charm.Issues? Just call their customer service and you will be taken care of...they really appreciate hearing from customers.This company is going to be around for a long time and will certainly earn and get their share of the security system market.DO NOT HESITATE TO PURCHASE OPLINK'S ENTIRE SECURITY SYSTEM - INSIDE CAMERAS WORK GREAT!

These cameras have been the best investment, there is no service fee or you can pay $20 a month for extra service. I have 2 foster children and I can keep an eye on them anywhere I am (and you can hear what is going on if you choose to turn speaker on the sound quality isn't all that great) with my cell phone, tablet or computer as long as I have wifi. I absolutely love it! I was going to go through Comcast for the same thing with all of the wiring and high monthly fees. But if I leave my home these are mine and they go with me, very easy set up just plug in standard outlet, connect to wifi and wallah, set up is complete. There is NO way I would have been able to allow these children to stay in my home alone without visual supervision, they are destructive and they blame each other for everything broken, that I DIDNT DO IT, or I DIDNT DO NOTHING syndrome...... Peace of mind at your fingertips!

Great when it works right

I like that this camera was easy to install and worked with the oplink system I already had.

Works good. No problems with the camera and motion functioning portion of this device. I am able to view the videos on my IPhone.

Does it exactly what is says and pleased with this product, perfect for those if you choose not want to pay for monitoring. I did have an issue not from the product but I didn't read correctly and called customer service which was friendly and prompt.
