Really excellent value for the price. These pens were gifts for my students and with pen bags i purchased separately they still worked out at under $4 a piece. Looked much more expensive. I purchased 20 pens. Every single one wrote well when inked up. Not scratchy and no hard starts..... Really really great value for the price. I have used cheeper jinhau and wing sung. These are comparable wrote as well as my twisbi eco. Better than both a Parker and waterman hemisphere i paid over $50 for. Wrote almost as well as pilot metropolitan for $15 but not as well as pilot custom 74.... if that gives you some comparison. The pens also have a good weight to them. About the same as a pilot metropolitan and similar size and shape. Not a large pen but they are classy in appearance especially the silver and black one's. The 3rd blue and green are still nice but the black and silver ones look very classy and much more expensive than $3.

If you're looking for an inexpensive fountain pen to carry to work, or to use somewhere you would fear taking/using a more expensive pen, this is a good option. A colleague recommended these to me, and I was pleasantly surprised. So far I've only inked up one of the set, but apart from taking a little longer than I expected for the ink to get to the tip after I put in a cartridge, it has done nicely. The ink flows well and the nib is far from awful. Considering it costs less than some disposables i've seen it's a good deal.

This Baoer pen is strikingly beautiful. There are other good things to say about it. It's a smooth writer and is nicely balanced. I always write with my pens posted and with this one, the cap posts securely. The big problem with the pen is the nib. I prefer a fine nib. This one is labeled FINE but Baoer and I disagree as to the definition of "fine." The nib produces a line that can only be called medium. Saving the worst for last, I must complain that the nib seems defective. It causes frequent rough starts and skipping.

Fabulous, great pens. This is about the best deal you can find for a quality pen that works perfectly. They are stylish, well-balanced, and writing with these pens feels really good and my handwriting looks better than it has ever looked. You cannot go wrong with these BAOER pens. Great value, great pens, great company!!!

These pens are awesome - I have a huge collection of pens, and these look and function just like the best pens! With these you get so much more than you pay for!

The pens are junk. They look really nice but that's about it. The ink flow is terrible! Thought it was the ink I was using, no, just junk. Save your money!!!

If you like inexpensive fountain pens, like me, then you are familiar with the BAOER 388. You get five of them in this set. Parkers they ain't, but they aren't bad at all. Sometimes QC for BAOER pens is hit and miss, but these pens are generally a home run. They are well designed, have good ink flow - a tad on the wet side - and they are sturdy. If you clean them between refills, they'll last a good long time. Also, they're nice to look at. Don't know who at BAOER designed them, but they deserve a raise.
