As someone who runs HOT I think it will be perfect for skiing.For lack of a better term, it is ribbed on the inside. 1/4" stripe of thin breathable fabric next to 1/4" of thin brushed fleece type.Very stretchy athletic cut, nice hood, thumb loops are a big plus, nice long tail so it won't come untucked/above pants line.Only complaint would be the main front zipper seems cheap.
