Great for mincing garlic

The garlic press/peeler did exactly as was advertised. Only negative is that it’s a little difficult to crush them, you must use a lot of pressure

This is a nice and efficient way to mince garlic. It works better if the garlic is fresh and not too big. The other tools help the whole process of getting the garlic cloves out to mince. The tool itself is not that good at being compact for storage though..

You are supposed to roll the garlic in the tube, and the skins fall off.They don't.Then, having removed the skins the old way, you rock the blade thing, which is very attractive to look at, over the garlic, and it's supposed to rise up through the holes in neat little pieces.It doesn't.Even leaning my weight on it, basically the clove of garlic just flattened. The holes have no sharpness to them, so they don't cut at all.I've tried this twice. The first time, the garlic was pretty old, and I thought maybe if it was fresh, it would be crisper, and might work.Nope.

I have tried a few garlic devices, and this is my favorite so far. It is easy to clean - the holes are very shallow, so it is easy to rinse out. The green tube really makes it easy to peel the garlic - it is such a time saver. I find that I have to slice thicker cloves of garlic in half before use the press - so they don't slide away, but that isn't too difficult. I think it takes a good amount of strength to use this tool - I wouldn't recommend it for those with weak or arthritic hands or arms.

Garlic needs to be extra fresh to go through the press easily, otherwise you need to squish several times to get it through. Overall a good product if you need a lot of garlic.
