fabric is really nice, a deep, inky black, soft and stretchy - but not too much stretch, it hugs the curves without clinging and showing every little thing. really flattering. i wear a size 16, 5'7" measurements are 44-32-46. the XL fits me perfectly. i see what others have mentioned, about the sleeve/straps being oddly large - if you are really busty, that is good for the fit. if you are not so busty, you might need to have them shortened. i have been searching for a good, basic, black tank-style dress and have not been able to find one this affordable and well-made, until now. because i only wanted a LBD, i actually removed the rose appliques; but was pleased to find that they were sewn on rather than glued/heat-sealed. again, very good quality, and not a hassle to remove. i will use the appliques for something else, becuase they are very pretty. i like this so much i am probably going to order more, in different colors.

Seriously, this dress is a miracle dress. It will make you look like a freaking sex bomb but only in the most classy mad men vibe!!! I get so many compliments from men and women when I wear this dress, and I think it really is because of its vintage ladylike vibe. Because it about showing off the body without showing any SKIN!!! I usually hate at knee dress but this hits the perfect sweet spot at the mid knee cap and I’m 5’2. Although body skimming it’s extremely work (corporate America) appropriate (creative, concealing and fitted) but maybe not church appropriate (shows lots of arms obviously).I thought my sister was a little bit to obsessive when she buys multiples of each color just in case they ever run out of them, but I followed likewise. The material is very cheap but it just pulls in and sucks you in the best way possible. So for this, I would really recommend going with the darker colors.

I ordered a size small of the black dress with roses on them. The roses feel like iron on decals, although they look very pretty; just as in the picture. The fabric is nice; thick and stretchy.The dress fits good although was a little bit in the chest and waist. Nothing too noticeable though. It gives me a little wiggle room, and overall is very flattering. I am 5’8 125 lbs, measurements 32-24-38. It hit right at my knee.

I really thought this would be vavavoom but in a classy way… and on me, it just looks kinda business casual. Don’t get me wrong, the roses are pretty and the material is really nice, it doesn’t feel like an Amazon dress. But it didn’t turn out to be a beautiful on me as I had hoped

I am size 14 and when i first ordered this fress I could not fit into it. A few months later i tired it on again and was able to get into it for an event on September 16.I was so happy I coudl fit into it and although I have soem areas to work on , it felt good wearing it . Lots of compliments on the dress .

I adore this dress. Its very comfortable, hugs the curves but not too tight and has the perfect amount of stretch for sitting down (or eating a bit too much). I'm not heavy in the chest and it was a little loose, but I think I was the only one who noticed. I would recommend this dress.

This is the perfect alternative to a little black dress. The material is stretchy so it is so comfortable to wear. It’s long enough for work and stylish enough for play. I wore this for a Parisian style photo shoot, it it was just perfect. The material is not hot and I was very comfortable all day. This is now my go to black dress. I love it

Lovely, comfortable, elegant dress but quite stretchy. Might like to go a size down if you like a tight fit.
