Over the years, I've owned a Presto electric kettle and never changed it because it did its work. However, I realized it was time to change for a better one, it was not lasting and the cord and base had issues. The differences were mainly materials used, ease of cleaning, and longevity. The kettle's design is very attractive, I love the LED light and how you can see the water boiling. Easy to operate and heats the water quickly and it has a convenient automatic shutoff, which my presto did not have. I already descale it with vinegar and it was clean as new.To replace it, I searched quite a bit, checking out new designs and features and was drawn to this Krups kettle. In no time, I realized I'd made an excellent choice. I recommend it!

Works well and a lovely look. Inside is all stainless steel (no plastic) and the outside doesn’t get hot (no worry to get burn). Love it!

I got this to replace my Cuisinart electric kettle that also had various temp settings to boil the perfect cup of tea. The cuisiart died after 10 y or so; the lid no longer opened. The buttons had worn off but it still heated. Besides looking more elegant, this seems to heat faster and I don’t accidentally burn my knuckles by touching th carafe. I also like the digital T. If I boiled water and forgot about it, you can check the temp to know if you need to boil again, or if the water T is still fine.I live in area with well water, so I’ve only put purified water in the kettle (couple times spring water. I bought it Nov 2021 and I have yet to descale it (6/2023). Looks brand new. Use multiple times per day.I wish it were available in a sleek white; almost didn’t get it since it didn’t exactly match but I’m glad I did.Easier to keep the outside clean than cuisinart too.One quibble: to me, neither the cuisinart or this are truly cordless. The kettle sits on a base; the base has short cord to plug in to outlet. Once water heated, the kettle is lifted from the disc (the disc has the cord), and you can carry to table or wherever without the cord. I think this technicality is important bc you really can’t take it camping unless you have electric. Seems like there could be rechargeable kettles like charge once a week or something.One other thing that could be better is if you could see the water level from outside the kettle. That feature present on cuisinart, but not a deal breaker for me. This is a much superior electric kettle that I had been waiting for, for years. The price has come down a lot since 11/2021 too so it’s a steal now.8/2024 still in perfect condition. Using filtered water, I’ve never had to descale it. Fast. The fact that I can’t see the water level through the pot bothers me less as the minimum water is just less than 2 mugs of tea, and the almost full makes a quart.

During that time, I had to purchase a different kettle, which was a bit inconvenient.Despite this issue, I still have a lot of love for this device. Once I got it back, it was just as good as new. The boil-dry protection is a handy feature that has saved me on a few occasions when I accidentally left it on without enough water. I also appreciate how easy it is to clean, with the wide mouth allowing me to reach in and scrub it out thoroughly when needed.Aside from making tea and coffee, I’ve found this kettle useful for other tasks too. It’s great for quickly heating water for cooking, like when I need to blanch vegetables or make instant noodles. The quick heating time is a real time-saver in the kitchen, and the ergonomic handle makes pouring comfortable and spill-free.Overall, despite the hiccup with its durability, this electric kettle is a solid choice. It does its job well, and the temperature control options make it versatile for various uses. If you’re looking for a reliable kettle and don’t mind the possibility of a repair down the line, I’d recommend giving this one a try.

This is the best electric kettle I've ever purchased! It heats up quickly, and you can adjust the temperature settings to your preferences. I especially appreciate the "hold temperature" button. It saves a lot of time not having to reheat the kettle. Well worth the money!

Love this electric kettle. It gives so many solutions! Heats water for tea or boiling in just minutes. But if you walk away and forget, no screaming tea pot to run and turn off, or worrying about leaving did you leave water boiling on the stove! This kettle just shuts itself off. Need warm water for yeast for baking? 105 degrees exactly, every time, and you can hold it at that temperature. It heats to 195 for perfect herbal tea, or to boiling for black teas, or just pour your boiling water in the pan to jumpstart cooking. Highly recommend this timesaver!

We couldn't be happier with this product. it has worked flawlessly. the options to choose different temperatures is incredibly convenient. w just bought another one to give to a friend.

He usado la hervidora krups casi diario durante un año y sin problemas, la tapa se mantiene firma y sella muy bien, los cables y la base siguen en buenas condiciones. ESTE PRODUCTO ES CONVENIENTE Y HASTA NECESARIO SI TIENES NIÑOS, PUES NO TRANSMITE EL CALOR A LA PARTE EXTERIOR DE LA JARRA, EVITANDO POSIBLES QUEMADURAS POR ACCIDENTE, LA MAYORIA DE LAS HERVIDORAS NO OFRECE ESTO. Además la tapa y todo el interior es de acero, es decir libre del contacto con plásticos BPA que se deforman con el calor y transmiten químicos. Lo único que le falta es un indicador del nivel del agua, lo que sería una adición muy útil, y una función para que se mantenga caliente el agua por mas horas. En general es un producto de excelente calidad y lo recomiendo al 100%.

The media could not be loaded. Hasta ahora me gusto mucho, calienta rápido, bien, y es bastante intuitivo de usar.

Le faltó el control de temperatura, como en sus modelos anteriores

Tomen en cuenta que es de 1.7litros y tiene un diseño alto (la anterior que usaba era de 1.5lts mucho mas bajita)Normalmente yo hiervo el agua y tiene un boton directo para eso que es muy convenienteTiene un display que va mostrando la temperatura en grados FEs rapidaDicen que la tapa no abre mucho, a mi me parece bien..Por dentro es de metal, por fuera parece tener una cubierta de plasticoEn general se ve de muy buena calidad

Estuve buscando un producto que fuera totalmente metálico, y no tuviera los inconvenientes de fragilidad del vidrio, esta es una excelente opción, rápida, fácil de limpiar, con un switch muy sencillo y el control de autoapagado funciona de maravilla, además, el exterior siempre está a temperatura ambiente por lo que es muy seguro. Su base tiene un espacio para guardar el cable y así no estorbe, totalmente recomendable.
