Great humidifier for small room. Does the job. Value for money.
OVERVIEW:- I have a humidity meter to measure the temperature and humidity of my room, so I can tell PRECISELY how well this humidifier works. My room is very small - about 12ft x 12ft x height of about 9ft. Ideally, I would like my room humidity to be between 40% and 50% and the room temperature to be about 25-27deg. I have problems with my eyes and my skin drying out.- The very first time I used the humidifier, it took several hours to raise the humidity from 30% to 60%. Subsequently, when there is already some water vapour in the air, this humidifier will raise my room's humidity from about 33% up to 60% within an hour if it is set to its maximum setting. I use my AC intermittently, turning it on once every 2-3 hours. When the AC cools the room down from about 29deg down to 27deg, the humidity abruptly plunges from 60% down to about 40% within 10-20 minutes. I'm guessing that this means that the the water which this humidifier evaporates in an hour will be removed within about 20 minutes by the AC.- You have to have a ceiling fan on to spread the emitted water vapour, otherwise, it will collect around the humidifier and the entire area around it will become damp.- If you have a large room, or if you're constantly running an AC in a dry climate or during winter when the humidity falls, do bear in mind that the humidifier has to keep pace with the rate at which the AC is extracting water from the room. You may have to buy a higher capacity humidifier because this 2L humidifier will just not keep up with an AC which is constantly ON. The AC will extract too much water too fast. In fact, I'm not sure if a humidifier can even work in tandem with an AC; the AC will always win.- Before buying this item, I read through all the negative reviews first. Common problems I read about were leakages from the base, flimsy build quality, a defective light, noisy bubbling of water and that it doesn't humidify the room. I did not experience any of these problems. Some water does come out into the base of the unit when it is operating, but this is not a defect, it's by design. There is a very slight bubbling/splashing sound which doesn't bother me much, even though I'm a stickler for silence, though it may irritate some people who work in very quiet rooms without a fan or AC running in the background.- On the whole I am very satisfied with this item. It humidifies my small room quite fast and works fine with intermittent use of the AC. It's perfect for winter, when the air dries out and people don't use the AC as much. My room has been humidified well. I no longer wake up with flaking dry skin on my face and my eyes don't dry out as quickly when I'm staring at the computer screen for long hours.PROS:- Good build quality. Does the job well.- Humidifies small rooms quite fast. Can keep pace with intermittent use of AC, which removes moisture from the air.CONS:- You'll have to use filtered water because there is no way to clean the inside of the water tank. There is one small hole at the base and that's the only opening. You don't want dirt, limescale and other residues from evaporated tap-water building up inside the water tank after frequent use of the humidifier; cleaning it will be an ordeal.- The water tank needs to be removed and turned upside down every time it needs a refill. (Some water does drip out when it is turned upside down.) Because of its smooth round shape, one has to hold the water tank very carefully because one can easily lose grip. I can only hold it with one hand, since the other hand is needed to unscrew the stopper and pour the water from the jug into the water tank.- Slight splashing/bubbling sound which might irritate people in very quiet rooms- The water level is not really visible. The strip of glass through which you're supposed to check the water level is tinted so dark that, in my somwehat dimly lit room, I have to shine a torch onto it to see what the water level is.- The product is supposed to have a 1 year warranty, but if you don't register it on their website within 10 days of purchase, the warranty is only for 6 months. Why do they do this? So they can get your email address/phone number and then send you promotional spam? Not sure...

Good humidifier which works actually!
Seem to be working, and the build quality is better than few other chinese makes out there. The humidifier uses Ultra-sonic waves to generate fine mist of water spray. This does not generate steam. So you need to switch on the ROOM FAN for the mist to efficiently mix with the air in the room. Otherwise, the mist settles down in a 3 ft. radius. While I do not see any immediate health effect within a overnight use, I guess this would work over the long run.The Operation.1. This humidifier comes with two parts. The BASE (bottom part) where the Ultra Sonic generator and electricals fitted inside. The top part is actually the water tank.2. To operate - take the water tank out, invert it upside down. Then remove the water filler cap and pour 2 litres of water.3. Close the cap and turn the water tank straight again, and place it on the base. There are no locks. The water's weight holds the tank firmly in position.4. Turn on the knob, and instantly you will see the mist coming out from the top.5. As i checked, filling the entire tank, and keeping the flow rate to minimum consumes half tank of water for 7 hours.Pros1. Noiseless2. Works as advertised3. Good construction qualityCons1. No where in the guide it is mentioned if we can add aroma oil to the water. I did not try anyway.

Perfect humidifier, thanks to the USA brand Dr. Trust.
I made a mistake of buying a USB powered humidifier 2 years back at a price of rs. 700. All those USB powered humidifiers are cheap chinese products which stop working after a few months. Reason: Blockage of the pores of the peizo disc. I opened that, cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, nothing worked. Finally threw it away in garbage and decided to buy a decent one. This humidifier is "Made in USA" by Dr. Trust brand and it's perfectly designed for durability and non stop functionality. Since the piezo disc is submerged in water, it doesn't get blocked or clogged and it also doesn't have pores like those USB powered humidifiers. The water storage tank resides on the top and water fills in the bottom cavity whenever the bottom cavity is low on water. Once the water tank is filled with water, you shouldn't remove the tank OR MOVE THE HUMIDIFIER.If you need to remove the water tank, remove it quickly and swifty, otherwise little water will leak out which is your own fault for not removing it quickly! This humidifier is designed as per gravity so you need to keep it PERFECTLY FLAT on a solid surface and DON'T MOVE IT AFTER FILLING IT UP. If it's totally necessary to move it, turn it OFF then move it very gently without tilting it at all. Otherwise water will leak out and again it will be your OWN FAULT!The mist is strong even at lowest settings! Keep it away from the bed, at least 10 feet away from your head. The mist is supposed to be distributed by a fan. If you are using it during winter, keep it on the topmost possible spot in your room. Additionally, you can keep a tiny 5 volts (powered by mobile charger or power bank) fan behind the humidifier to distribute the mist evenly.I pity those illiterate people who don't know physics and are complaining in the reviews that it leaks water and doesn't work. They have no idea that this humidifier is intended for a flat surface with no movements once filled up.Once I fill it up with water, it lasts for 16 hours easily at lowest settings. We need to use RO filter water in it. If not, then use regular filter water but not tap water. And wash it every alternate day regardless of the type of water used. Don't submerge the bottom unit in water. Only put water in the bottom cavity where water normally resides.
