75 ft is the MAXIMUM length (when it's expanded)
It's light, doesn't kink, and doesn't leak. When you turn on the water, the hose expands and gets longer as the water pressure builds up. However, once you use the spray, the pressure does down inside the hose and starts shrinking. I'm suspecting that the manufacturer would say that I need more water pressure. If I increase the water pressure, I'm sure the problem gets better but I don't think it can solve it completely. So, if you want a light hose that doesn't kink or leak, by this hose, but longer. If you need 50 feet, get 75 feet or something because 75 ft is the maximum length when it's expanded. If there's concrete in your yard and if you think the hose would rub against the concrete when you use it, this may not be a good option for you.

I'm happy with it...
At first I didn't know if I would like this hose, as it seemed to leak. But actually it's not the hose that's leaking, but the nozzle I have on it, so I can't blame the hose. Took me a while to figure out the best way to use this hose because of the way it swells up so much when the water is on. I found it's best to pull the entire hose out off the reel then go back to the water spigot and turn on. If you leave the hose all wound up and turn on, it's a mess. I do like that its so flexible and light weight. After you are finished turn off the water spigot and continue to let water release from the hose until the hose has shrunk back to normal size. My husband thinks it's pretty funny..

Five stars
It is lightweight, but I had trouble with the valve and not sure if something has pulled loose inside.Edit date August 16, 2018. When I commented on this hose I gave it a 2 star. I do retract that now, as the customer service from the manufacturer has been nothing but amazing. They e-mailed me as soon as they saw this review and they are sending me a new one. 10 stars for customer service and back up to 5 stars for the hose itself. I got my new hose in records time, and am looking forward to using it. Again, the customer service from the manufacturer was best of the best.

Very handy hose
I got this to use inside the barn to fill water buckets. I needed the 50ft length but didn't want to deal with all that hose when I wasn't using it. This is great. The plastic hose holder seemed flimsy but has worked fine so far. When I'm filling buckets, it extends to the length I need. When it's put away, it's up off the floor out of the way. Couldn't ask for better. Seems to be a sturdy product. I haven't used the nozzle so far.

The garden hose we bought turns out much better than I anticipated
The garden hose we bought turns out much better than I anticipated. I tried this morning. Once I turns on the water, the hose expands under pressure, both lengthwise and in diameter. The flow is adequate for washing cars and watering flowers. The switch at the end of hose is nice, but the on-off switch on the nuzzle is more handy. Once the water is turned off and the pressure drops, the hose contracts to its original dimension, which make it easy for storage.

On/off valve broke after 2nd use. Leaks at the connections.
Brass fiting will be corrupted after one use - tightening the male connector the user will need to use extreme caution as the threads corrupt very easily. Love the idea of the retractable feature and watched as it pulled back after shutting off water supply. But in the end, I have replaced every hose (4) every Spring as the hose connectors do not offer a proper seal even after applying plumbers tape to the seal. Brass fittings corrupt very easily. Stick with a rubber hose! Had between July 2018 and April 2019. Used twice. Bought 2. Not worth the $65 spent. Better option is a plain rubber hose with solid male/female connectors that are not made of brass

Waste of Money
We bought this hose for occasional use maybe twice a month. Both ends where the hose where it connects to the brass ends just wore out. They put a tube over that spot to keep it from bending to far but it doesn't help the wear.. If you don't mind replacing every year maybe its good for you

Durable hose - not so much for nozzle
Really like the hose. Our last one began splitting at the nozzle connection because it was a pinch point, but this one has a nice rubber guard that keeps the metal from rubbing on the hose. Disappointed that the sprayer that came with broke after only a few uses - it no longer locks in the open position, leaving you with a hand cramp. Seemed like a nice sprayer.
