This is a soft sleep mask that is great for use on an airplane! I love the wrap around head style with Velcro so you can be sure that it stays on. I wouldn't say that this blocks out 100% of the light, more like 98% but I kind of like that I can still be a little aware of what is going on around me. It is easy to pull up and easy to take on and off.

Bought this item about a week ago, mask for sleeping. The velcro was sown on backwards, wouldn’t stick. Ordered another one same thing. Can’t make money that way, check your items before you make a Bach.

I can't comment on if these are comfortable for long term sleeping on the back of the head because I sleep on my side. But they are great for side sleeping.I like that they go over the ear. The elastic bands on sleep masks always bother my ears and this is a great solution. I especially like it when the material can muffle some sounds by covering my ears too.They are able to block 100% of the light but only if I pull them a lot farther down than I would think I'd have to. It is still completely comfortable, just different than how I first put it on. So if you are having trouble getting all the light blocked, try pulling it down lower so that your nose is almost completely covered.Also, I find it only works for me if I have it the opposite way than the pictures online. I tried it with that extra nose strip on the outside and that worked much better.I love the outer layer being cotton. There is a picture in the online description that says the inner material is cotton too. But the tag says the inner layer is polyester. I don't mind since the polyester won't be touching my skin. But that is an important distinction in my opinion.I like everything about this mask. It came through the washing machine on gentle cycle just fine. I hung it to dry and it still looks like new. I would absolutely recommend these if you are looking for a cotton mask. If you want easier 100% light blocking them I recommend going with the shaped polyester ones instead.

This is a nice eye mask, especially when you have moments where you're on a trip or need to share a room with someone that has a totally different schedule than you.Recently, I went on a trip to Colorado with family, unfortunately my mom has her brightness on max at all times of the day, even when it's 4am and we're in the middle of the dessert. I lucked out with keeping this eye mask on me and using it to go back to sleep as it prevent all light sources from waking me up.The cons to this mask, as a girl with thick curly hair, would be the velcro band that secures the eye mask on. My hair's gotten stuck a few times where I wish I could take off the velcro only and create maybe a button with a tie, similar to those on the hair drying towels for curly haired girlies.

This sleep mask is soft and the material is great. However, this is not 99% light blocking. I can still completely see from the bottom of the mask by the nose, and it lets in a lot of light. It does not seem to block much more light than a typical sleep mask. You can adjust the tightness based on how much pressure you want around your eyes. In order to block as much light as possible though, it does put pressure on your sinuses. Also no matter how I adjusted it with the velcro, it doesn't stay on great on my head and with my long hair.It says to hand wash, but I machine washed it on delicates and air-dryed and it was fine.I won't be using this much though, as I have other eye masks that perform better for me.
