Under Stars

This is one of those albums where all the tracks are solid gold and there are no "fillers". Although the songs vary in terms of type and tempo and it's clear Amy McDonald is on top form delivering an eclectic mix of melodies and fine vocals. I've played and played this disc from beginning to end many times already. Recommended.

As an admitted fan - I have all her albums and saw her live on her current tour - I am probably biased - but.... if you like a good song, with a memorable chorus that you can sing along to, then this is for you. However this is by no means "bubblegum" music as we used to say. The lyrics have great depth and repay a careful listen. If anything this is the best album yet from Amy - listen to it, you will enjoy it.

Very good cd bought the deluxe version the acoustic songs are even better than full band. Saw her live in Utrecht and Usher Hall utterly excellent. Certainly Scotland if not UKs most unheralded singer should be a worldwide star. Way better than your Swift Perry Rihanna Beyoncé dance and auto tuning Inc.

Amy is back and every song is perfection - great tunes and a truly wonderful, memorable voice. This album, for me, is the best she has done and that's saying something. Uplifting feel-good meaningful songs - this album will make you fall in love with music all over again.

I do like Amy and she has a lot of talent. Although I do prefer the old albums this one is growing on me. For the standard album I would only have given a four star. But the deluxe with the extra tracks more than makes up for this. So I’m giving this a five star rating

It's rare for an artist to produce a truly excellent album years after their first flush of success. But Amy Macdonald has certainly achieved this with 'Under Stars'. Her voice remains strong, the lyrics have meaning and her trademark musical style is as powerful as ever.

I have just finished listening to this for the first time, and it has gone straight back on to hear again, I already own two of her albums: This is the Life and Life in a Beautiful Light, both of which I really like, I have a feeling that this new album will become my favourite, I brought the delux version, well worth the extra couple of quid. as usual great lyrics and tunes.

My first CD of hers. I've heard several of her songs in the past and took a leap of faith with this, very glad I did.
