I had some trouble setting up the plug because it requires the use of a published app, and I don't like to give apps unnecessary permissions. The app lets you deny granting location access but when you try to connect to the unit's built in WiFi to complete the setup, it fails unless you back up in the process and grant location access. I've added screenshots to show I am in fact connected to the internet WiFi on the unit but the app telling me several times that I am not. This is an unnecessary required permission on the Android app, and it was tricky to debug since neither the app or the instructions state that location permission must be granted.Also, per my photo, some plugs will not fit, such as my MacBook power adapter, not several other plugs where the brick is part of the plug.Otherwise, setting up Google Assistant was a snap, and being able to shut off everything or just one of the plugs, is a really nice feature.I'd prefer to see this in a 4 or 6 port power strip where the power plug can swivel to fit various kinds of plugs.Removed one star due to app bug and inability to plug several items into the switch.

Purchased this product to activate and de-activate an outdoor de-icer unit. The outdoor smart plug setup properly but never worked again. I tried different outlets as well as multiple lamps to test, but no success. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a replacement smart plug. The replacement unit worked properly after setup and properly when I set it up with the de-icer. I wanted a solution where I could turn on the de-icer from inside the house and now I had a solution. That evening I turned on the smart plug and received an error indicating the device was off-line. Our internet was active, the unit was within the recommended range and in the same location as when tested during earlier that day. It was colder outside, but well within the recommended operating temperatures. The smart plug is great in concept, but worthless if it won't work and is that sensitive. I recognize it has great reviews, but from someone who has tried two with no success, I recommend a different brand. As an aside, Amazon's return program is as good as it gets.

I had a great deal of difficulty setting up this timer. I bought four of them and every one would not work consistently when I took them outside to various locations to power various devices. I have spent way over10 hours trying various combinations of set up. I contacted the manufacturer Meross with lukewarm response and marginal knowledge support. Eventually they said they would replace them, but then changed their mind and said I had to go through the seller. Fortunately, Amazon came through and took care of the refund.I bought other timers for the same price that seems to have a better quality build and work great outside.If you need an indoor timer, these work. I would not recommend them for outside use. And just hope you don't need warranty assistance.

This product has been reliable and great for the month I have owned it. There hasn't been any issues and the main purpose of this smart plug has been turning on my turtles basking light.I can turn off and on with the app but been using google voice to turn it off and on.a simple "okay google, turn of the plugs" will turn off the device.overall, it was easy to setup too which is nice.This outdoor smart plug was used indoor in my case.5/5, I would highly recommend. I might buy more!

I'm glad I was finally able to find a smart plug for outdoor use. It works well and the only issue I have is that when using the 'sunset' mode to have it active one of the switches, it comes on much later than sunset in my area, even though I picked the correct time zone. But one can adjust for this by configuring it to come on '30 minutes before sunset' or whatever. My other smart devices with a sunset feature do not have this delay, so I gave it only 4 stars.

I actually purchased this to use at the lake, but I like it so much I use it at home with Alexa and other devices and then take it to the lake also. I use it to plug my awing lights into as it is waterproof, and so far it was worked like a charm.I like that each plug has the ability to be controlled it's self, not like a light switch where you turn it off and anything plugged in gets turned off.Easy to set-up, download the app to your phone and you are good to go!

The outdoor 2 socket smart plug is just what I needed. Arrived quickly, set up was very easy. I have it outdoors and it has been through several rain storms with no issues. Working with Amazon Alexia to control outdoor Christmas lights on one plug and yard lights on the other - both managed by Alexia smarthome routines.

This is a very good WiFi plug. The two individual outlets can be controlled separately. It was very easy to get hooked up to my Google Assistant, so I could control everything with my voice. Setup only takes 2-3 minutes and you'll be good to go. Highly recommend this for yourself, or as a gift for someone else.
