These are difficult to use. I wanted them to go into the mortar between bricks in a garden wall so I could support my rose and a fruit tree. However the only way to hold them steady was between finger and thumb and then hit with a hammer - hard - I missed and hit my thumb hard enough to fracture it. I had managed to get about 10 in before this but most had only gone in about 1cm, and about half had started to bend against the force of the hammering. Unless you put these in as you build a wall, or know of a better way to put these into brick walls I don't recommend their use, rather go for drilling holes and then inserting vine eyes which will also do a good job.

These were easy to use and, being flat, were easier to use in my rendered house walls without risking the render coming away. So many are big round screw ended and I didn’t want those. My clematis are climbing up the wires strung through these now!

It was okay but does bend easily, only managed to use half. I would only recommend for those with stone houses as the mortor is often softer
