This is absolutely perfect! The baskets are heavy-duty and good quality. They have lots of flexibility to them, but they still readily keep their shape. Naturally non-stick, safe material, too.I really like these, and can't say a bad thing about them. The accessories are a nice touch, too. I am always in love with getting a bench knife whenever I can! hahaI would totally recommend these, and surely gift them. If you have someone in your life looking to get into bread making, you can definitely give them these and be confident they'll enjoy them lots. AND they'll have successful bakes, encouraging even more use.Yeah, these were a great find!

I'm not a fan of using willow or wicker proofing baskets, so I was happy to see silicone ones exist. This set includes a lame, dough scraper, silicone brush for brushing butter on the outside of the bread, a small sifting ball that you can use to shake stuff like cinnamon, flour or powdered sugar on the outsides of your bread or cake or other baked goods before baking. It also comes with a European style dough whisk. This set also includes razor blades for the lame, so be sure not to leave the package where kids or pets can get into it!When I first saw this, the pink really popped - I felt like I would be making bread in the Barbie Dream House! The three baskets had quite a strong odor - I smelled it the second I opened the plastic, it was strong. I ran them through the dishwasher twice to get rid of the smell, and that seemed to take care of it.I love how portable the baskets are, and I really love that they're washable. I've had friends who had mold grow on their wood or wicker baskets - ewww! These you can always have clean and ready to go. They're a little floppy - not much, though, and the rising dough seems to hold in place just fine. They're lightweight and collapse nicely for super easy storage.Btw, the dough scraper has measurements on it, which is helpful.Overall I'd say this is a good set for people getting into sourdough bread or who - like me - don't like using wood or wicker proofing baskets. And if you like pink, you'll love this set!

I have been making sourdough goods lately and wanted to try out this proofing kit. Comes with several tools some of which I don't know what to use them for. The dough scraper has come in handy several times. The actual bowls are silicone and foldable. Great feature for cleaning and storage. Very easy to clean. I don't use in the dishwasher, but probably could go in it. The bowls are great for proofing. I haven't had as much luck baking bread in them. The bottoms don't get as crisp as using a ceramic baker. That being said, they are great for proofing the dough and letting it rest. Based on that and the storage feature, I would recommend this kit for anyone wanting to get into sourdough bread making.

This set has everything you need for your first set. I prefer the silicone banneton baskets because they collapse and are easier to clean! The set gives your the option to make an oval or round dough too. As for tools the bread bag in the set is sort of useless because the bread gets stale very quick, but the other utensils work really well. The all metal danish whisk is a game changer because I can throw it into the dish washer and it comes out clean every time!

Starting ur bread journey this is a must!

Seems to work well although as others have noted it's a little floppy when dealing with a greater quality of dough. One neat trick is that the round basket can fit over the oval one to use as a cover while the bread rises. I used it in the oven and it worked, although I'm guessing over time oil will polymerize on the silicone and be tough to remove.
