34 Bubblegums and Candies by Preeti Shenoy is her debutante non fiction book. I have read her fiction novels like Life is What You Make It, It Happens For a Reason, It's All In the Planets and they all have been fantastic. I have read her blogs as well and wanted to know her better, so I thought of buying her first book. This book is a collection of blog posts and some stories that are related to author's life. This book is dedicated to her late father who has been her inspiration. It took me just one hour to complete this book and I was moved by the thoughts of the author. This book gave me a better perspective to look at her.

A lot of Candies, in fact, most of the stories are candies to me, I have got a huge lot of drains around me, but have to bear with it all, the only bubblegum I guess and that is responsible for producing more bubblegums, however, got used to it, so no worries. But the book is more like taking an interview with you Preeti Shenoy Ji, rather than reading it, it's like interacting with you and getting to know more about you and the tagline goes: " If you want to know more about #PreetiShenoy Ji, just read this, you can even get to know why I adore her so much. " Wonderful book, simple but beautiful and at the same time classically classy, especially the 16th chapter is the best candy that I read and it is too sweet to handle.🙂 A debut book, this good no wonder she is in the league of top authors. She is one of the best and finest and always tending to be a better version of her.

was eagerly waiting for this book, as it was a national best seller, when received it, was a little disappointed, I knew it had short stories but didn't know that each story had hardly 3 or 4 pages. you cant connect to any characters, it is just about moral of stories type.

Good service. I received my order four days before the estimated date.About the book-- this is my first ever short story book. I was not sure when I ordered it.. But to my surprise it took just two days to complete it. I liked it and I like Preeti Shenoy's way of writing.Light hearted book but with lots of inspirational day to day events.

Neat and simple chapters. Bubblegums & Candies are well explained with her real life experiences in each chapter. We only live once, take things easy and live life happily... is all I learnt from this book.

Amazing book.. Short stories that inspired me a lot. Preeti shenoy is a amazing author. I love her books. 34 candies and bubblegums adds meaning to my life and to all those who read. At some point I also feel that we all have such candies and bubblegum incidents in our life...

The book "34 Bubblegums and Candies" is a gossip line. It is faultless and well-written. Interesting episodes are expressed in a modern English language; beyond the old-fashioned family stories; some of them centered on wives and others on kids; a few on parents; much more on a father.

I did not enjoy reading this book at all!

On BBC's Book/Author talk show, I saw Preeti Shenoy for the first time discussing her books as the author of the show for the day. I became interested in her books as I am a fan of Jhumpa Lahiri's short stories regarding families from the subcontinent. Bubblegum & Candies is a mild compilation of short, clipped events in straightforward prose. I expected much more depth and literary quality in the book, and was disappointed.
