Not as heavy duty as you'd think
When I first assembled it, the crate seemed very sturdy and well made. However after 1 month if use by a dog with severe separation anxiety, the true craftsmanship is starting to show. The black paint is easily removed by dog teeth and nails, and then the exposed metal rusts far too easily from just drool. Also, my 45 lb Catahoula has bent the top bars so much more than I even thought was possible! It's clearly not quite as heavy duty as it looks or is advertised to be. In my photo from the top, I have the bottom floor and tray removed on purpose so you can see the bars better.Update- after 2 months use:I've had to stop using the crate entirely. My dog figured out the latches pretty quickly so I've been using a metal chain and clip around the door when I leave her in there, but the bars are just too Bent to continue use. Additionally, I haven't been able to find dog dishes to secure to these bars, and for a dog with anxiety, leaving a bowl sitting on the floor of the crate doesn't work- just gets tipped over. I've requested a return for this today... For some reason Amazon said my return needs special attention, so I emailed the seller directly about it.

Very sturdy bars
Though this crate is the best I have found at a reasonable price I have a basenji who is an escape artist. Even though he weights only 30 lbs those wire crates couldn't keep him in. This crate ALMOST does the job. He figured out the latch within days. We put clips on the latches and this worked for awhile but he now has mangled the latch so they no longer work even clipped. Despite this I still think this is a good crate, the latches brought it down to 4 stars.

Definitely worth the money.
Would give this more stars if possible. My dog could break through just about any kennel I but him in. This bad boy has held up against all his attempts. Super easy to clean and dissemble if needed. Should have bought this a long long time ago.

Holds strong so far for dog with severe seperation anxiety
i have used this now for a few months and have been pleased. My anxiety panicky 38 lb hound has not been able to escape. The only issue is that since he drools so much, areas of "connection" or welds, have become rusted. Otherwise been very pleased since he had broken out of all other plain wire crates, as well as eaten black slide tray and lifted same to escape from underneath. He's been tricky, but I think ive got him now !!

As advertised
Very sturdy and heavy duty. No way my Rhodesian Ridgeback is getting out. Directions sucked, had no instructions how to put on the latches, but with some common sense was able to get them on. I havent locked him in yet, since I'm still getting him used to it. But he lays inside, plenty of room. Going to listen to others and get some zip ties for the top, he has bad anxiety when left alone and will tear up walls, floors, anything in the way. So this will be great to keep him safe.

Not for escape artists.
First day we had to kennel my 6 month old pit she got out. She has succeeded to escape from any kennel we've bought. We had to go and buy a pad lock to make sure she didnt get out. I feel like for the money that I spent on this kennel that she shouldnt be able to get out. It's also starting to rust because of her drooling. But now that we have the pad lock she cant get out. But we could have spent a lot less and just bought a two dollar padlock. We like to call it Shawshank bc it looks like you can't escape but with enough will, they can.

Sturdy but small
My dog has been able to escape from every single crate i have ever purchased and this is the only one who can’t break out of. The locks aren’t super sturdy but have held strong to his efforts. It is much smaller than i anticipated from the pictures. He can barely stand up straight so if you have a big dog i would shy from this crate. My dog is a 49 pound border collie and it’s a little snug.

Great crate
My 60 lb boxer mix tore apart a wire crate in 4 days. Escaped out of it 5 times and bent the door. Bought this crate and am extremely happy. Took me about 30 minutes to put together but I'm 67 years old.Crate is extremely well made. My baby hasn't been able to escape it or ruin.A little pricey but well worth it.
