Nice rope and connector
I got this to replace an anchor rope that came with our boat from my father-in-law. This is a very nice rope, and at 50ft is plenty long enough for most of the lakes we frequent but no so long that it gets in the way. What's really nice is the stainless steel thimble and shackle that it comes with - this makes it super easy to attach an anchor. I was a bit concerned with the shackle and whether or not it would come unscrewed over time, but in the month that I've had it attached and have been using it it hasn't loosened at all. For the price I think this is a great deal and I would recommend it to anyone needing an anchor rope.

Excellent Extension for Existing Anchor Line
I previously wrote a quick review on the darker color version of this same rope. This White line is being used occasionally as an extension to a longer 100' and 150' setup. The primary 100' line is Black. The next 50' is dark gray. The next 50 feet (this one) is white. Having it color coded lets me know how much line is out.The quick connect bow shackles make increasing or decreasing the anchor line super easy and I feel this is a more secure setup to carabiner style connection. The rope dries out quickly and hasn't stained and doesn't smell like mildew.

Sturdy
Rope is well-built and comes on a nice spool. There were no frays when I unspooled the line. I have the line stored on my boat and it's used to help anchor a 6,000 lb. boat with no issues.

Braided anchor rope - good tight braid, more like polypropylene than nylon.
This braided anchor rope has a good tight braid to it. The thimble and shackle seem to be well-made. The only discrepancy I can see is that the description says nylon as well as polypropylene, which is very rare to see this combination. Ropes are mostly made of only one type of material, never in combination. But when put in the water it does float so I’m guessing it is more poly propylene than nylon. It’s a thin rope so I use it for light duty jobs. Due to the unknown material used, I will be using this for light duty and non-critical use on my boat, but otherwise satisfied with the quality overall with this braided rope.

Adequate Anchor Line
So, this anchor line seems like it will get the job done, but it has some flaws.Hardware... Seems like good quality hardware on the line, but when you inspect it closer, it seems to not be stainless steel, but some other metal. It may last well and I will test it out in the salt water shortly, but it does have magnetic properties and seems like stainless is not the right description.Line... The line itself seems like a good soft fiber. The description says nylon, which sems to be false as well. The rope initially floats and then seems to soak with water and eventually sink. Not quite the properties you'd expect. Well, elsewhere it says it is polypropylene which seems to be more true.Overall I was a little disappointed with the anchor line.. I will test it further and see how it works in the salt water over time and update my review.

Awesome Anchor Rope
Awesome Anchor Rope. 3/8" 50 FT. Anchor rope has good elasticity, large tension resistance, and flexible fiber. Breaking load: 1,565 pounds for boats under 16'. The included heavy-duty 316 SS thimble helps you quickly connect your existing anchor chain. Good quality. Sturdy and durable. Strong and reliable. Good value at $16.99.

Excellent Utility Anchor Line
Many people don’t know that one of the most important pieces of safety equipment on a boat is the anchor - and by extension the anchor line. This is a good, solid line for depths up to about 20 feet in moderate weather, which encompasses a major need on our lake. The rope itself is easy to coil, and if you know how to handle it, you won’t be likely to get many tangles. Both ends are properly finished, with a thimble properly spliced into the solid braid rope. The seller recommends this 3/8” line for boats less than 16', which probably a slightly overly-cautious rule of thumb. In boating overly-cautious is good. However, the line is plenty strong enough to hold our 22' Bennington in normal conditions. I will mostly use this line to hold the boat on a sand bar on a nice day. I have a heavy 100 foot 5/8” line on a heavy Danforth anchor I would deploy in windy or storm conditions, but that one is a pain to deal with so I save it for emergencies.
